As soon as he pulled a gun while being pursued by police, they were justified to use lethal force. He refused to stop or drop the gun despite repeated commands. He was approaching a shopping center where he could have taken a hostage and/or shot innocent people.

That is justified lethal force all day, every day.

You or I would likely be prosecuted in a hot minute in Colorado if we took him out.

Are you always such an idiot. If in the commission of a crime, would you rather the PD just sit there and wait until he carjacked or killed someone before reacting.
They saved some innocent victim from this person.

That method could damage the finish on the front of your car. The 1950s technique was taking out your gun and shooting the fleeing subject. That's why the crime rate was very low in New Iberia when I was growing up. Now it's very high.

I agree with the guy you replied to, though. It's confusing.

I personally have no problem with what the officer did. In fact, in my ideal world he doesn't have to wait until he thinks the guy may be approaching other civilians with his gun. In my world him refusing to drop it is grounds to take him out right then and there...even if nobody else is around he could still shoot a cop. Refuse to drop your weapon, you sign your death warrant in my world.

However, you see cops or ICE agents or other LE in other videos holding back from delivering the arse-kickings or lethal head shots that these people desperately need and are begging for, and it does seem interesting that running this guy down with the LE vehicle is acceptable while drop kicking some ANTIFA a-hole threatening an innocent civilian with a hand held weapon is not.

I think that’s a community college across the street and he was running late and just trying to get to class.

I wish more pursuits ended like that. "I'm going to get him" and he did.

You kids and your iPod headphones being too loud - he said, "I'm going to hit him."

And he did.

I don’t think we need to kill people for shoplifting. We could just do as our, much heralded, snack bar friends, and cut their hand off.

Even better - watch the longer video posted on the previous page. Hear the officer saying "He's running toward CSP"?

That's right, this genius was running from his crime and the police pursuing him, right into the parking lot of a Colorado State Patrol office.

When those that say “just shoot them in the legs” goes right.

His crime days are over.

Good job officer.
