He should have deceitfully played nice with the Chinese initially until he had the EU on the hook and then done exactly what he has done with them up to this point.

I would search for it on Google but the first 3 fricking pages of search results are all far left leaning liberal news outlets so let me track it down... need more time to show receipts

It is okay to disagree with the tariffs and still support Trump.
That being said, when you give your opinion on a politically volatile subject like this, you should expect heat in return, however politely you frame your answer. If you're being an arse and calling it stupid or using other emotionally charged language, expect more heat.
It's a fluid situation. You don't have all the answers. I don't either... I don't think anyone fully understands all of the angles. And I don't think China will quietly back down without attempting to cut backroom deals with other parties to diminish the effectiveness of Trump's plan. Expect anxiety and volatility in the short term-- both in the markets and in public discourse.
