I don't think that reinserting tens of thousands of troops to reoccupy Kabul and other urban areas is in the cards anymore. You do?
Yes, just until we get all civilians out. Then we leave for good. You know, a rescue mission.

I didn't use quotes, so you are probably correct.

I think you are overestimating our ability to just make 10,000-20,000 troops or more just appear fully equipped and ready to roll overnight in Afghanistan. That would have required planning, which as we all know there was zero.

So wait, are you 2 telling me that the US, the strongest military in the nation, the most powerful nation in the world, has to abide by some "not supposed to be there" rule to bow down to this piss ant country and leave our fellow Americans over there to die? This is what you are telling me? "That ship has sailed", you say? GTFO. Send troops back, kill whoever gets in the way, get our civilians out, get whatever allies you want to get out. Basically, do it like it should have been done in the first place. And if the Taliban call it an act of war, OK. Then handle that situation. It ain't that hard.
Well, nobody has to abide by an agreement, but good luck with another agreement in the future.

That's on Jello Joe, don't blame me for his frick up.

That's called an invasion.
Jello Joe fricked this one up good, maybe the biggest frick up in American history.

That's a stretch. If we start seeing a bunch of Americans getting killed trying to get to the airport or something similar, then we can have that discussion. Right now, no way in hell is this even in consideration.

Oh I don't care what it's called. Like I said, we can wipe that place off the face of the earth for all I care, after we get our people out.

I am. They gave themselves an out.

You're a retard, 1000s of people in harms way for no reason.
This was all avoidable, STFU.

They're not going to put 10s of thousands of troops in there and do all that, matter of fact, they're probably lucky they have what they have there now.
Shells can rain down on the airport you know?
Joe fricked this one up good.

I was talking about this last night with my SIL who is a Capt in the Army. He did 3 combat tours there.
He said it would take battalions to go into a conflict with the Taliban in a densely populated urban environment. We don't have the infrastructure on the ground to support sustained combat operations for that large a force.
We have very few options here.

Yup, they're going to have to play nice with the host country.

Don't you love how these people think its so easy to move 10s of thousands of troops, vehicles, supplies and support equipment 1000s of miles in an instant. Out in the middle of freaking nowhere.
These people are very sheltered.

Or that the enemy will just sit by and let us kill them.
There is a saying in the Military..."The enemy has a say in what happens".
All that artillery they picked up from the Afghan army would level the airport in short order should they choose to do it.
Keyboard warriors.

Yup, no airport, no beach head... options get really limited. Full on invasion would be needed increase troop count from 10s of thousands to 50s+ thousand.
Joe fricked this one up royally, blood is directly on his hands.
Taliban beat the US in the field, and beat them legally.

The Pentagon has already said they expect to be capable of 5,000-9,000 evacuations per day now that the airport is under control.
This wouldn't happen to be the same Pentagon who said there was a 300,000 strong Afghan Army that would keep the Taliban from taking over the country any time in the near future by any chance would it?

No shite!!
Keep an eye on the #'s per day over the next week. That will tell us if we're getting anyone out.

So are yall wanting the military to go door to door countrywide and track people down and bring them to Kabul or the airport?
Take the handcuffs (ROEs) off our military forces and let them unleash their fury in order to accomplish the mission and bring the people home.
Don't let this turn into Benghazi part 2.
