I'm from St. Louis, most of the city is stunned honestly.

Does Lyndon Johnson's "Great Society" count as systemic racism? He did say he'd have them voting Democrat for 200 years.

Don’t be coming in here with facts and shite

AAs were split on party lines (polling evidence) up until the “great society”. They then became +92% democrat. LBJ was right on two things, it would destroy the black family and one their vote.

No other race is owned like the black race.

If they vote conservative, branded an sale out...Uncle Tom.

That is systemic racism.

My late black/NA mix grandfather was one of those old school Christian liberals that fought in Vietnam and Korea. He was a pro 2A guy for obvious reasons.

He had to relocate to marry my German grandmother. Whites and blacks couldn't marry everywhere back in those days.

His concept of BLM was more rooted to local churches and well-developed family systems that policed their own so that the actual police didn't have an excuse to beat them senseless. He was never a pro-police guy, though. He had more of a humanistic liberal view that said "we have to care for and love our own because they (government) won't do it."

Then they should stop people like Floyd from breaking the law. He didn’t deserve to die. And I hope the cop gets jail, but let’s not act like 99.9% of these instances aren’t totally avoidable.

thank you

The belief is that blacks kill blacks because they are the victims of long term systemic racism.

I thought it was because they stepped on another blacks kicks or disrespected them in some way.

Boondocks had a nice episode on this situation.

Why does this infuriate people but blacks murdering blacks is something that liberals almost never mention?

For white people, you can't virtue signal or show your friends how much you "care" or how "woke" you are if the killing isn't done by a white a person.

This is why Black Lives Matter is a joke. They only matter when their death can be used for political gain.

What's stopping them from fixing their own community?

I understand it and I talk to my AA friends about it.

Can you ask those friends why they value the life of someone they've never met that was killed by a white cop more than any of the other thousands of black individuals that were killed in the last year by other minorities?

I've asked the same/similar questions and the answer I was given is along these lines: They recognize that black people murder each other far more frequently than police kill black people and that it's a big social issue. But they believe the criminal justice system generally does its job in these situations or at least tries to and the murderers are punished.

They also recognize that sometimes police must use deadly force. But they also believe that sometimes police use deadly force against black people when it's questionable or not justifiable. They believe these instances have been historically swept under the rug, and they believe that "the system" still seeks to sweep these instances under the rug. They believe that Black Lives Matter is important for drawing attention to these cases.

Thanks for the well-intentioned response. I can kind of see this viewpoint, but I still tend to take a utilitarian view here that there can be so much more to be gained on the time invested by actually focusing the collective outrage on the issue that isn't an outlier, but an everyday occurrence throughout much of the country.

Simply put, why, in the year 2020 in America, are blacks slaying each other with unwavering regularity? This isn't the relatively rare school shooting or the relatively rare instance of deadly police brutality. Hell, it's not even the pretty uncommon terrorist attack at the hands of a jihadist. This is a daily thing in 100s of neighborhoods around the country and we're all supposed to just stay mum about it? Is it so prevalent that the left / many AAs are simply desensitized to it? Or is it simply not an area where political points can be gained, so it goes unaddressed? If the latter, what could possibly be more racist than that?

But why do they matter more when police are doing the killing as compared to when other blacks

Short answer. They get away with it.They get away with constant harassment. Harrassed in front of your kids. On dates. Alone. Driving home alone. And it has been happening all of our lives.

Then.

You black men get pulled over with white friends. And you then learn there's a difference. White ppl can actually express emotion. Get mad.

Black men are targeted. Hoping something sticks. It's a paranoia you cant explain to someone unless he's with you.

THis is why white athletes bow. They see it and understand it.

IMO it's certainly not outside of the realm of possibilities that there has been a longstanding determination by those in the highest positions of power who want it to stay this way for who knows how many and what purposes. It wouldn't be difficult at all to contemplate a lengthy list of such.

In 2020, considering all the money we've seen thrown at this and that here lately, it's hard to believe that sinking those types of figures at the referenced problems over time couldn't have made a very huge difference by now. But there are those many promises made, and promises not kept by the left.

I hope he watches his back,Clinton’s see this and he will be in grave danger.

I struggle here, too. They may not have the same opportunities in good ol’ boy circles, but they absolutely have the same if not better opportunities in PC circles, which are only growing.

Agree. It is true that most blacks, due to the sad history we already know, won’t have as much generational wealth as whites, but their opportunities are certainly there. Just like opportunities are there for other ethnicities.
