That’s exactly what it is. It’s grift. Why do you think they stipulated that payments would be less than 90 days after appropriations?
If you read the article, it will piss you off even more.

How many billions are we giving Iran?

I found it ironic that the members of CAIR want this funding too seeing as how they are the cause of the problem.
See a pattern here? It’s like this with so many things Congress appropriates money to. They create the problems we throw money at and by coincidence, they or their friends are heavily invested in the solutions. It’s the entire reason these politicians push these asinine “causes”. It’s part of how they get rich

That’s just it - none of this money is really going to security. These nonprofit groups can request and currently be approved for up to $200k individuallly or $600k if they have multiple locations. Govt wants to increase that amount.
Read the article, they talk about how expensive it is to change the locks on a building and claim that is why they need it. $200k for changing locks lol

How much money is proposed for protection of Christian churches?
The answer for all three should be none, but if it’s any it should be churches.

How they were able to cram so many things I’m sick of into one article is actually pretty impressive.

Why not just pass legislation allowing them to defend themselves? But, I guess our politicians can't grift a free option. frick them all, both sides.

Without all this crap spending, taxpayers would probably only owe 1/4th of our current tax burden. It’s disgusting.
Posted on 5/25/26 at 1:43 pm to junkyarddawg3
You don’t care that your tax dollars are being basically stolen in schemes like this? I can’t stand a thief and at its core, that’s what this is.
Posted on 5/25/26 at 1:51 pm to TDFreak
Yep. What bothers me most is that not only are these people never prosecuted for their crimes, they are getting filthy rich. They’re doing it in broad daylight out in the open with zero fear of consequences. If you stop the spending, a lot of these problems correct themselves.
