Progressive CEO defends hiring applicants based on race and gender
The Progressive Corporation lived up to its name, defending its practice of hiring based on race and gender on Tuesday.
When the company's board was asked by conservative activist Ethan Peck why Progressive prioritizes “skin color and reproductive organs” when hiring employees and how it “could justify valuing surface characteristics over merit,” CEO Tricia Griffith responded that Progressive's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion is "an important part" of its growth and "just the right thing to do,” according to the Washington Times.
"You can’t put yourself in the shoes of somebody else if you don’t have a representative organization that represents the country as a whole,” Griffith said during the company's annual shareholder meeting. “You could never know what it feels like to be a female, [and] I could never feel what it feels like to be a male, so we need to represent everyone.”

This has long been my argument for why a woman is a woman and a man is a man. I don't care how much a man wants to wear lipstick, he has no idea what it feels like to be a woman.

Everyone applying for a job should list themself as a mixed race minority.
It will get you to the top of the stack and no HR dept would EVER question it. They’ll take the ESG points and move on.

ESG, and also, highly illegal. I'm going to apply and when I don't get the job, sue for discrimination. Open and shut case. The CEO admitted to it.

I have no problem with anyone choosing to hire or fire someone based on whatever criteria they choose.

Replying, "Diversity, Equity and Inclusion," is not an actual answer to that question, by the way. This is Ibram X. Kendi horseshite about needing racism today to make up for racism in the past.

What about folks that identify as a protected class?

Oh, in theory I agree. Likewise for who you want to do business with in any capacity. And if this was the country we lived in, I'd agree as well.
We don't so this is typical left leaning double standard horseshite..

It's pure nonsense though. You don't have to share characteristics or experiences with someone to be able to understand what they've been through and where they're coming from.

So Tricia has a Degree in Biology?

Of course most CEOs are all for this. At the end of the day, the employees are still answer to them.
Maybe the company needs to throw her hat back in the ring and do a rehire for the CEO positions using her defense as to why they arent going to retain her.

Since you can change identities more often than you change your underwear, maybe everyone should just check ever box on the form and add a couple of 'intersections' -
