This just makes me so much curious what is in "the files" that makes Trump so worried, and I don't think it's allegations/evidence that he did anything illegal.

We all do. But don't you think it's odd that the Dems ignored Epstein for 4 years, and now all of a sudden, demand the files be released? The dems, if anything, are conniving and always deceitful.

Maybe, we let the FBI and DOJ run this rabbit down the hole and figure out exactly what is truthful based on evidence rather than our feelings???

Then why not release all of the files so we can see for ourselves?!?

Because plenty of everyday citizens may want to off those listed, and if some of those listed were planted they would be open to that same potential vigilante justice.

This is why it is important to review evidence and be sure of what you release before you release it, especially on something suspected to have been "doctored" or "cooked up", in part.

But don't you think it's odd that the GOP screamed release the Epstein files for 6 years, but suddenly don't want them released?

Weren't the files obtained by the feds during Trump's first administration?

Also, if they had planted his name in those files, they'd have done it to release it during the election. That time has come and gone.

I mean, it’s kind of Trump’s fault. He had the files first and if he knew he was being sabotaged as he claimed, he should’ve copied them over so he would have something to compare against. Or better yet, he should’ve prosecuted earlier.

People keep conveniently forgetting that Trump was the one who arrested him and had all authority over the files originally.

Are you suggesting that files couldn’t be changed, manipulated, or destroyed in the four years Trump was out of office? Seriously?

No, I'm suggesting that if they had manipulated the files to include his name while they were in charge, they'd have released it during the 2020 election.

There are only two other things that make sense here:
1. Trump's name is in the files and he's deflecting to plant seeds of doubt for when they're eventually released.
2. Like the other poster said, they added his name while they were in charge and kept it publicly quiet as a way to ensure the files are never released.

Trump has been careful to not do something stupid his entire professional life so I seriously doubt he was involved in a child sex ring with Epstein. He's been considering running for president since the late 1980's for crying out loud.

Maybe THIS is why the Mar a Lago raid happened?

He’s protecting someone else. If they had anything on him re Epstein we’d have heard about it years ago.

Maybe so. I believe Trump FWIW. But this all just highlights how stupid he was in his last year in office during his first term.

I think the whole thing is just too messy and he doesn't know how to deal with it other than to say the files are tampered now or whatever. If he says there are a lot of innocent people on whatever lists that exist it just looks like he is covering up for them or himself. This was my take from the Tucker/Darryl Cooper and Mike Benz/Viva Frei podcasts:
quote:

I'll say this. I don't think Epstein ran a honeypot blackmail op for Mossad. I don't think he was actual Mossad or CIA. What Darryl Cooper and Benz paint a picture of is he is basically a freelance guy that does deals that governments and intel agencies approve of. So, he gets protection. That's how he got off easy in the first federal cases. If he videotaped and blackmailed people, he did that on his own. A guy like WJC is why you can't just publish a list. WJC was traveling with Epstein because likely because of deals Epstein was doing for things like the Clinton Initiative. I really like Benz's approach to try to force governments to produce material in response to the data points that are out there.

The same DOJ and FBI that just told us Epstein killed himself? The same one that told us no cameras were working in the jail but now there is footage but some of the footage was erased?? Can’t trust a word of what they say. Just release all of the files so we can see what’s out there.

The grand jury testimony was going to get released no matter who appointed the judge. Grand Jury testimony is never released.

I think some did, until the Dems started demanding they be released. I don't know this for certain, neither do you. The only way to get this right, is let the investigation play out and maybe we don't get so impatient.
