Do you think Iran has the industrial capacity to replace tankers ? They do not. Blow them up empty or full. Result is the same. It knee caps their only source of income.

This might not be entirely accurate, I would assume the cost of an oil tanker far exceeds that of an anti-ship missle, and Iran doesn’t exactly seem to be on strong economic footing currently. But what do I know.
