Just read a study that 25% of college students in remedial classes had a 4.0 GPA in high school.

I know A LOT of people my freshmen year took easy classes to boost their GPA and have an easy freshmen year to adjust to college. A lot of students re took math classes as they weren't positive their HS math teacher was up to par, again it turned into easy grades for them.

I went the opposite and frankly it was dumb. There's really no hurry to graduate. I wanted to graduate early and start working. Instead I was burned out and clueless by my junior year. I'm not saying I was normal, I was also an idiot.

Happy Monday Everybody!

If it's any consolation half of it was probably built by a bunch of alcoholics that were barely coasting by on fumes and monster energy drinks as well

Schools are trash, kids coming out of college are morons.

If AI doesn't replace your job, an Indian will. Your kids and grandkids are going to have a significantly worse quality of life than you have. Good job boomers.

Mathematically it isn’t possible for the government waste more money that I think it does.

Read a few of these at lunch. From a colleague's wife:

The GLP-1 drugs (Ozempic and Mounjaro) are truly a miracle drug and have the ability to eliminate obesity. However, the compounded versions are just as effective and 1/10 the cost - there is a push from Big Pharma and Big Sugar to ban the compounding and it only has to do with profits.

Fire/ems- Good chance more than half the crew that you see are alcoholics or pill heads unfortunately. Great people, but very few learn how to cope with the work.

In our industry you have to quit or threaten to quit to get a raise.
You ask and you get a sob story from the bosses.
Lost many good people who simply wanted a little bump in pay.

My company, like many others, still have WAY too many DEI hires. Thankfully, it is getting better, and many times it just ends up hurting the talent, in the long run... less promotion opportunities, less advancement.

The vast majority of men you see on television hunting shows aren't really very good hunters......and 100% of the women you see on those shows can't hunt at all.

90%+ of the foreclosures I buy were lost trying to fund drug rehabilitation for children.

Bankrupts families.

Grade inflation in high school has had a negative impact and I believe it has increased delusion amongst college students, especially females.

This is 100% true and Covid has made it much worse. Starting to impact industry already. I’m not afraid that AI is going to replace people, but I am afraid that people are becoming retarded. Or maybe it’s just that retarded people have found a way to finagle their way into better jobs.

Incorrect, it's us, the lawyers, who are the hometown heroes

Lawyers cause most of the issues in this society.. From becoming politicians and only enacting laws that benefit themselves, to creating red tape and havoc in every other area of society. You might be a necessary evil, but you ain't no hero.

It’s not what you know, it’s what you can prove.

**Sure, folks not in the field have heard this, but I don’t think they’ve truly paused to grasp the accuracy and implications of this actuality.
