Manchin on Kavanaugh: I'm looking at the gentleman as an adult from 22 to 53. 31 years of official service. I'm looking at him as a father, as a person in the community...I mean I'm just looking at the human side of it also I think every aspect has to be looked at.

Did recent polling not favor him or something?

I am hoping these nutsniffers vote him down this week so they can suffer the consequences in Nov. Trump will then renominate him and get him through.

If they follow their State's wishes I fear they will get reelected.

With his vote for Kavanaugh, Joe Manchin can be the new leadership of the Left... that so many moderate Dems are looking for.

He'll still have to consult with Collins and Murkowski to see how he should vote.

Certainly, if he does so, he will become a huge media darling for his ability to eschew partisan division and reach across the aisle, no?

I agree, but I hope they don't. It's a farce if they do, and we need these nutsniffers exposed for who they are

polling shows if he votes no he has zero chance, if he votes yes he has 40% chance to win re-election

if he wants a fighting chance he must comply

If Joe votes yes, he may get an invite to lift over at Tobin's house.

I think he’ll stick with the Dems unless his vote doesn’t matter. He votes yes if he’s not the deciding vote and its apparent he’s getting confirmed.
