Nope. The cash register will require the driver's license to be swiped at a lot of the major chains if you want to buy alcohol.

They've got a point, but its also amusing to read sleezy sites defending themselves with these nauseating lectures as if they're innocent Saint Stephen about to be stoned to death

People that make A** Destroyer 10 DVD's who all of a sudden sound like Thurgood Marshall making legal arguments
You don't have to feel warm and fuzzy about their content provided it's legal. I know they've had problems with illegal content in the past, and if that's still happening, there are already laws in place to address that.

I don't have a problem with attempting to make porn more difficult for minors to access, even if I have doubts that a practical and effective solution exists. I do think selective enforcement of one or two sites is an asinine way to go about it and was done only because it was an easy way to claim a victory over a big name most people have heard of. And the cynic in me wouldn't be surprised to find out that if you did some digging around the politicians that pushed this, you'd find money from other porn sites that stand to gain from increased traffic.

Mom walks in on teen son looking at porn.

Mom:" Looking at that will make you go blind!"

Son: "Well can I just look until I need glasses?"

why do we have seatbelt laws, voter ID (laws,) minimum age for alcohol, smoking, building regulations, etc.?

They should be saying get rid of these laws too.

Before smart phones, drink and smoke were more accessible than internet porn. And that was under the age of 18.

That's not Pornhub, that's fellow students trading stuff on messaging apps, by and large. Ask any junior high VP in charge of discipline.

Just switch your VPN to terminate in Denver. It's funny, there may have been a 90 minute delay in "it works," now it's blocked if your VPN terminated in TX. Quite easily solved. BTW, never use a VPN that you don't pay for.

I suspect it's to put more pressure on the TikTok bill, and drive under 35s to contact representatives.

All this verification does is provide these sites or platforms with more/detailed/valuable data to sell to someone else.

And at the end of the day you can still chemically castrate yourself, without parents permission, or watch 2 senate staffers butt frick each other in a senate chamber, get your body dismorphia metrics from looking at an instawhore for 7 hrs a 24 hr cycle but you can't watch porn.

Good for Texas. Porn is poison for the mind and has destroyed countless lives. Our society would be better off without it.

Why do I have my right to privacy obstructed because you can’t keep your kids from illegally watching pron?

Why am I forced to peotect my kids from dangers you want to exist? Why is an adult, who should know right from wrong, getting preference over a child?

An adults pornography interest should not be considered over a child's healthy development in a healthy society.

Libertarianism is stupid.

Abstinence has failed 1 time ever.

Make fun of it to your heart’s content but it’s what I was raised on and I have no STDs or unwanted children.

People that act like abstinence doesn’t work show me they have a bleak view of themselves and humanity and lack of self control.

Completely agree.

So we should just tell people to do whatvever they want and just try to mitigate consequences instead of not doing the thing that leads to consequences.

That’s basically what we do

You tell people they shouldn’t do something and they’ll do it anyway
