Meh, so what? What's the reputation of Jews among Muslims? What's the reputation of Jews who support Israel among much of the world?

Case in point. You might want to take a look at Acts 10:10-16. Peter never ate anything unclean until God told him it was okay. It would be the only way Peter could witness to Gentiles.

Please show me the version of the Bible that says homosexuality is OK.

It doesn't in either Testament...so that covers Judaism as well as Christianity.

No, it's called rightly dividing the word of God. As in, making sure your interpretation is not at odds with other scriptures.

Yeah, it's all very clear.

I have never been a member of any religion, have never had any religious training, and the most 'Christian' thing about me is simply that I share Abraham's Covenant.

How can you share Abraham’s covenant and not be a part of a religion? I know there are many Jews that are also atheist, but if you acknowledge Abrham’s covenant you would have to be religious by definition?

This is a Cop out and a cave in to the the PC culture. If one claims to be a christian then they Believe in God, and also his word which is the Bible. God's word cannot lie so if you do not agree with every word in there then you are in essence saying you do not agree with God. Do you agree with the world or God? It can't be both.

as soon as christian's give up pork, allow men to have as many wife's as they want and bring back slavery then i will start believing being Gay is a sin. Because the good book says eating pork is a sin , a man can have as many wife's as he sees fit and slavery is just fine.

It's hard to have an intelligent conversation on this topic with someone who thinks the New Testament actually says that. You might want to actually read a bit of it before entering the arena.

I'm guessing he is merely suggesting that he is a member of the same race, or ethnic group, as if that's relevant at all. To say he has never been a member of any religion but shares Abrtaham's covenant is almost comical.

d be interested in hearing how homosexuality should be considered a sin without a reference to the Bible.

The truth is you don’t need God or the Bible to see that the gay lifestyle is unhealthy and self-destructive. It’s just that religion was the last acceptable reason not to celebrate it before even that was taken away.

If it wasn’t for gays, aids would be a mostly unheard of disease in Africa, but they unleashed a literal third world plague on this nation. Even with billions spent in public health funding, advances in drugs like truvada and PreP, they are still spreading it with impunity. Every time someone you love dies, just think of the billions we spend so sodomites can cook up the next superbug in their Petri dish bodies. They also fetishize youth and are weak on the protection of children.

Lesbians have the opposite problem in that most experience ‘lesbian bed death’. But they have their own issues such as anger and mood problems (domestic dispute calls are common) that they typically work through with physical excursion and substance abuse (usually alcoholism). On the upside, they usually have higher than average intelligence.

You'd probably understand if you weren't taking it out of context of the conversation.

But point taken, the entirety of the Judeo-Christian-Muslim tradition is nothing short of a horror show. The fact is that I'm not talking to Muslims ITT, and probably precious few Jews. But of the three, I probably have the least problems with the Jews as they are the originators, the other two are just cheap rip-offs of the original.

I'm still trying to figure out how a good Cajun girl turned away from the Catholic Church.

it's clear that it's an abomination,

In your context.. we are talking pork etc..

What you are missing is that this was nullified in many NT scriptures.. like Acts 10 and more.

Such as eating with unbelievers etc etc..

Homosexuality and other things were not.

Even with Divorce, from the OT to the NT exceptions given.

FWIW, I miss the days when threads discussing solely religion were banned from the poli board. If this had anything to do with politics, I’d be okay with it. But it really doesn’t belong on this board.

It is.

However, people that 100% must attack the Bible due to their own desires only want to take a small portion and use it.

Why?

Because it then helps ease their minds. That's called justifying.

cause it's not, sex outside of marriage is a sin. There is nothing sinful about same sex attraction.

Why? Considering 75% of all politics are attacking the foundation and core of the nation.... what's the problem? Why are you offended?
