I like DeBoer. After the Florida State loss I would have never believed Alabama would make it to the playoffs. Most bama fans realize that Nick Saban is the GOAT and DeBoer is not going to be as successful. I really think there was some locker room issues the past several years that caused some real issues for DeBoer last year. It seems those have worked themselves out at this point. I would say that if he has not won the SEV or the CFP by year five then I might start getting restless. Next year will give us a good idea of what his tenure at Alabama will be like. If things are still not clicking on offense then that will raise some concerns.

My point simply is Notre Dame's resume is not anymore impressive than Tennessee's.

Tennessee has three losses to Top 10 teams and has won the rest of their games. Notre Dame has two losses to Top 10 teams and has won the rest of their games. Both teams lost every time they played a top tier team. Why should Tennessee be punished for playing more top tier teams than Notre Dame.

Does Tennessee have a legit argument. Not Really. Neither does Notre Dame if you are going by their resume. Notre Dame should be punished for being independent instead of rewarded.

This is not the Christian understanding. The Christian understanding is that God created a perfect world with no death. When sin entered the world so did death. It is human rebellion that is responsible for death.
