Speaking on Thursday, Leo said that countries have a right to control their borders, but urged richer nations to help develop the countries that migrants are leaving, so they do not feel the need to leave.

What are richer countries doing to change the situation for poorer countries?” he asked. “And why can’t we seek … to change the situations in [those] countries?”
While I'm not opposed to a richer country helping a poorer country, there is no obligation to do so. Each country is beholden to its own people, for the promotion of the general good and promotion of the true religion of Christianity (which few nations do).

The Pope is essentially victim-blaming.

Countless funds have been shipped to Haiti and multiple African countries. They are still shitholes.

If anything, we should avoid interfering with underdeveloped countries that are hundreds of years behind us in technology and civilization. Let them develop at their own pace.

Imo, we western countries have ruined the natural progression of most third world countries we've been in contact with. Most African countries were still in the hunter and gather phase of their civilization. They were thousands of years behind our western countries.

The papacy has always been a political role, but it has been even more so since Popes Francis and Leo took control of the church.

To paraphrase Chandler Bing, "Could this guy BE any more of a drama queen?"

I'm almost ready to grab a shovel and go dig up Frances. Or better yet, it's time for J.D. Vance to pay him a visit.

We tried this. It was called colonialism. Everyone bitched about it and the natives drove the Europeans out and subsequently turned the countries back into shitholes

Really appreciate it man.

He was a good boy. It was hard but the right choice because I couldn’t let him be in pain. It happened so quick from Sunday afternoon on a walk something happened and then by Monday afternoon he couldn’t walk and was just tripping all over the place.

Now if I get a damn mail in ballot from the Dems with his name on it I’ll be pissed.

Agreed, and I say that as someone who has had several pets that I loved and cared for deeply.

Human beings are made in the image of God. Animals are not, and therefore we should be careful when saying that other image-bearers are worth less than animals.
