The current Pope is the most obvious example that the churches have been infiltrated. It's not just the Catholics either. If anything needs to be cast into the lake of fire it is progressive left ideology, there is nothing it does not seek to destroy.

No one stands more ready to jump on the Catholic Church and its abhorrent doctrine of papal infallibility than I, but I never saw a quote from the Pope stating that Muslims are "brothers". Gateway Pundit, so no surprise that their headline embellishes reality.

Papal infallibility is misunderstood both inside and out of the Catholic Church. It most certainly doesn't mean that every crazy utterance is offical Church doctrine. "Infallible" declarations are very rare, formally issued "ex cathedra" (from the Chair of Peter) and the entire Church is obligated to accept them. The last two infallible declarations: 1854- Pope Pius IX defining the Immaculate Conception; 1950- Pope Pius XII defining the Assumption of Mary. Both of these were beliefs already held by the Church. The declarations merely defined and codified these beliefs into doctrine. So unless the Pope says something like "we pronounce, declare, and define it to be a divinely revealed dogma", I ain't paying attention to him.
