Politicians are mafia bosses and this is a shakedown.

Sure would be a shame if something happened to your restaurant merger…here’s my CPAC routing number.

What benefit is it to really own all of these sandwich companies? Also these are franchise chains. That makes it even weirder as they don’t manage the operations from a corporate level.

They just have to think they are good individual investments as I don’t understand the additional benefit of owning the group.

Do you think the FTC should investigate this?

How are you measuring the market? Every grocery store in the country will make you a sandwich. Many convenience stores also.

Just give her some firewater and a few Mardi Gras beads and she'll shut up.

They don't own Blimpie's, so she has no leg to stand on.

As long as it doesn't change Jersey Mike's, I don't care. I haven't eaten a Subway since our Mike's opened. Our Jimmy John's closed for some reason. Their sandwiches were simple but I liked their bread. Haven't eaten at McCallister's since Newk's opened. She probably needs to read up on monopoly and how many sandwich shops and alternatives there are to the 3 she mentioned.

I agree with her on private equity. It’s ruining the country and increasing the wealth gap tremendously.

We don't need another private equity deal that could lead to higher food prices for consumers. The @FTC is right to investigate whether the purchase of @SUBWAY by the same firm that owns @jimmyjohns and @McAlistersDeli creates a sandwich shop monopoly.

Remember… these sandwich shops paid off some CA lawmakers in AB 1228. It applies to fast-food chains with at least 60 locations nationwide — except for those that make and sell their own bread.

They paid off democrat lawmakers to get this wrote in. Now the national democrats want their payday.
