West Jersusalem is already Israeli. I really don’t understand how moving it to the part of the city that is technically still in Israel is inflammatory. It’s like the Kansas City of the Middle East.

See, Trump likes Sheldon Adelsons's money . Sheldon Adelson has a really passionate obsession with moving the US embassy to Jerusalem . Since Trump wasn't doing that, Sheldon Adelson was withholding his money . And Trump didn't like that because he really likes his mega donor's money. And so he has spent a lot of time trying to schmooze those donors back. Pointing out to them how many industry cronies he has installed into every corner of government and how he gave them what they paid for . But Sheldon, well Sheldon wants Jerusalem. And since Trump really wants his money, Sheldon is getting Jerusalem.

Israel says the capital is Jerusalem.
Israel is our ally.
The USA supports our allies and if Israel says their capital is Jerusalem, that's what we say.
We shouldn't have to f'ing pretend it's not really their capital just to try to appease a bunch of savages who hate us and Israel regardless.
If they want to start shite over this, fine, we need to know who they are and wipe them out anyway.

I'll postulate something different. I think it's because of the rock. The Temple Mount, Galgotha/Calvary, the spot of Mohammed's ascension on Barack all take place in Jerusalem. That piece of bloody land has been sacred ground to millions for thousands of years. I think America sees itself as the defender of the faith...the new Jerusalem. This is the link from our country to Old Jerusalem. I don't think it's any more complicated than that.
