Yeah, you can't force someone to remove references to a previous job from your job history (LinkedIn).

The NFL had nothing to do with this decision. It's all on the Panthers for being cucks.

As a mouthpiece for racial injustice, the NFL should have come running to this man's defense if the Panthers are responsible for his firing. They should be penalized under NFL guidelines should they not?

I've not followed then for a few years. I know that Jerry Richardson sold them to a far leftist billionaire.. if he is a legit far leftist.. then of course everyone who isn't on board with his ideology will be fired.

They can just claim that guy was divisive and was ruining the workplace environment.. making everyone feel uncomfortable and scared. Libs have a lot of loopholes and buzzwords to use, to freely be able to oppress or fire non-liberals, just for being nonliberal.

Worst gotcha moment of the week.
That's your take? Really?

You are saying that because I was a contractor for NASA, that if they find out I support Trump, they can insist I remove their logo from my social media?

And/or if I again get a position supporting NASA, that I can be fired for supporting Trump?

Any pretense is cool as long as they're really sticking it to people you don't like politically, huh?

Moreno tweeted a post in support of Trump from his private Twitter page in April.

This prompted Eric Fiddleman, who manages radio and television for the Panthers, to contact him and request that he remove references to the Panthers from his account.

At this time, Moreno was not under contract with the Panthers.

As an independent contractor, he is not employed during part of the off-season.

But he complied, scrubbed his Twitter bio of Panthers content, and updated it to reflect his support of Trump.

“Listen … I’m not even under contract right now. I am not willing to participate in this project anymore if I’m going to be censored,” Moreno said, recounting the conversation with Fiddleman. “Because I am not OK with them censoring my freedom of speech in support of the president.”

Moreno continued to share content related to Trump and QAnon, which he called a group of “love and truth” trying to “wake up people.”

He said no one from the Panthers organization called to speak with Moreno after he changed his Twitter bio, so Moreno said he broke with the team.

“I’m hurt because this has nothing to do with my performance on-air. This has nothing to do with how good I am at what I do,” he told the Observer. “I’m one of the best, and I’ll put myself against anybody in country when it comes to what I do in Spanish.”

Not exactly what your heading suggests.

Is that any different than believing that we have 10 years left before climate change destroys the world or that men can menstruate?

Stating either one of these ideas onTwitter would not get you fired.

He was not on contract. Why would he use their logo?

If you violate their policy, yes.

You just can't throw anybody's logo on your personal twitter.

And this is not a violation of any First Amendment rights.

That's a terrible analogy.

First, NASA is a government agency, so your first amendment rights are at play. The Carolina Panthers are not a government agency.

Second, as a private organization, the Carolina Panthers can hire whoever they want. They chose not to hire him to do the spanish broadcast this year (they did not fire him as the OP suggests).

I disagree with their reasons and think it's ridiculous that someone would choose not to hire someone based on their support of a current president, but I also respect the rights of private companies to pick and choose their employees based on whatever criteria they see fit (so long as it's not discriminatory based on race, sex, religion). I don't think the Carolina Panthers should be forced to renew this guy's contract just as I don't think Hobby Lobby should be forced to hire an abortion advocate.

...because he supports Trump.

I don’t think the story is a wrongful termination. It’s the attempt to cancel an entire political party. That’s beyond dangerous.

So you are ok with a company telling someone what they can say or post, how about what they do while at work. You know like not kneeling.

Makes you wonder. I told the wife is get us a trump sign for our yard.

She is a stay at home and said absolutely not. She said she's the one at home all the time and has to deal with any of the repercussions.

Think about that. In America and someone worries about the sign in their yard over the support of a president.

How is that any worse than being a beliver in the BLM myth that police are killing thousands of Black people? Yet... people don't get fired for that. And the NFL supports it.
