OPSEC should always take precedence over political rhetoric.

Hegseth shouldn't be allowed to control what can and cannot be reported. Thats a clear violation of the 1st amendment.
Heard it’s the same press regulations in place at every military base. If so, why should the Pentagon be any different?
Would love to know how you arrive at the conclusion this violates A1? He’s not denying them access. The media is just in a snit over being reined in. frick em. New independent journalist will fill in for the legacy media.

Corporate news media died several years ago. They're just the parasites feeding off the corpse.

You're not very bright.

Press was finding those wanting to leak and getting them to leak. Probably not for any reason that would indicate peril to our country, but rather to make Hegseth and Trump look bad. Look at the things Hegseth is doing to change our military. I'd bet there are general officers that would leak about that.
I'm okay for the press to turn in their badges. They can bitch and moan and complain about it and maybe the voters will throw the republicans out of office.

Those future presidents who would do that will not like the results.

Is he preventing them from publishing stories?
No.
1st Amendment does not guarantee access and free movement in secure facilities.

I’m ok w the press leaving.
"Anonymous sources", "sources close to the matter" and "people that understand their line of thinking" will have very little news contributions now.
Leaks are gonna dry up.

How could a 2nd amendment be tossed out by a president? How is even the 1st amendment being denied by WH with a certain set of rules be followed by everyone alike? Do you favor “ journalists “ having free access to the hallways?

This isn't a first amendment issue. Show me where it says they have a right to report from inside the Pentagon.
Also show me where reporters have a right to classified documents and access to restricted military areas.

This is stupid. You have much tighter controls than that going to a Boeing production facility.

You should go to the pentagon and roam around with a loaded gun before you lose that right.
