Has anybody tried Bongino’s AlignPay?
quote:
After former President Donald Trump was kicked off payment processing platform Stripe in January for his role in the Jan. 6 Capitol attack, Bongino went to work creating an alternative for organizations that have and express opinions that make them vulnerable to disapproval by Big Tech companies.
“It’s focused on the cancel culture. So Stripe is our target here. You need to come to us, or you’re under the very real threat of being canceled,” Bongino told the Washington Examiner.
“Anyone who’s going to engage in any of this cancel culture totalitarianism, we’re going to expose and offer our services to the people you cancel,” he said.
AlignPay is set to compete with the likes of Stripe, Square, and PayPal in the transaction business, and will offer its services at a similar price to its main competitors. The service is set to specialize in credit, debit, and bank-to-bank transactions, with fully encrypted transactions and the promise not to sell personally identifiable information.
Bongino stressed that the platform is open to all political beliefs, noting that the platform will not discriminate against liberal groups:

It is a fact that we have to move past it assuming they learned their lesson. The reason is that if we don't allow them to change direction, we will harden their position. This is the failure of the left currently. They aren't allowing their enemies any recourse but to stand and fight. So we do.

I looked at it. Right now it seems to be a B2B application.
Maybe the consumer part will come later.

My bank is offering this now too. Not sure how it works, but it is interesting how this product is all of a sudden everywhere.
Zelle has been around forever and was hacked not all that long ago.
Trusting them with your bank details is a no go in my opinion.

I read the email. It wasn't bogus. They totally meant it.
Real question is would it take the fine out of your checking account or credit card.

Piss off a large segment of your customer base in the midst of one of the worst economic crisis in memory. That decision ranks right up there with New Coke and Natalie Maines.

I wonder how many of us closed our accounts over this? If the rest of the conservatives out there are like this board, I’ll bet that it was substantial.
Like the rest of you, I firmly believe that their post was not put out there by mistake. It was intentional.
This is a page from the Dems new playbook. They have seen that they cannot get around the Constitution. There are too many people who still believe in it. So, they are using private, woke companies to implement their authoritarian regime. They used OSHA to try to get vaccine mandates, they are using companies to erode our gun rights, and they are using Big Tech to take away our free speech.
PayPal’s move was chilling, in an Orwellian sense.

The blowback sends a clear message to other Companies who might choose to go the Woke. Banks especially.

Yeah, I don't buy that "it was a mistake" line for a moment.
Of course it wasn't. This was thrown out to see if they could slip it past the public. Everything about this was planned including this response when it got backlash.

bullshite. They absolutely meant it, they’re just surprised by the blowback.
They knew that blowback was coming. This is them just testing the waters. This plan will 100% be implemented in one form or another in the near future

How would paypal know if you were spreading "misinformation"?

Honestly to me the bigger questions are why would they want to know and why do they feel it is their business to control speech.
They are a payment processing company, and simply need to process payments and STFU.
