Pretty sure Ratcliffe flew to Moscow the other day mostly to remind Putin that the US would in fact honor Article V.

Sounds incredibly foreseeable and yet another reason this nonsense with Iran was stupid.

If anyone believes that Putin is wanting to hit NATO when he has been in a quagmire with tiny Ukraine for four years, then they are truly a lost ball in high weeds.
The ONLY way Putin attempts that is if he is on his last leg and is willing to end the world with his Nukes (if they still actually work after all of these years).

What is completely inexcusable is how absurd our defense budget is and how we could be short on anything anywhere.

We should probably disband the regular army and make it purely a national guard function. This would free up money for a bigger Navy, space force and the expensive munitions we like to use.

Need another half trillion because it's not enough. Clearly, something is broken if we're running out of missiles.

It’s because we allow Northup Grumman and Lockheed and GD and Raytheon etc to name their price while making practically nothing.
The only reason that the US Army’s procurement isn’t the most inefficient, insufficient, and fricked system on earth….is that the US Navy and its procurement systems exists.

This is bullshite. Weapon stockpiles are classified
"Interceptor inventories by theater, readiness rates, reload availability, and contingency allocations are generally sensitive and often not publicly disclosed."

It's a public fact that it takes roughly 30 months to build a Patriot. And that Lockheed only makes 600 a year. And it's also easily known how many have been sold to Ukraine and other partners.
With those parameters, it's not hard to roughly figure out how many have been expended and how many are probably available. And the stories and alarm bells are coming from sources all over, hard to believe it's all "fake news"

If Putin wants to expand into Europe, i'm all for it at this point. I hope he starts in Londonistan.

Not my fricking problem. Not one cent of my tax dollars should be spent on Ukraine. We shouldn't give nor sell them anymore weapons.
Let the EU take care of it.

lol yawn -- Knowing annual production capacity does not tell you the current stockpile. You would need the starting inventory, actual year-by-year deliveries, combat/training/test expenditures, transfers, refurbishment losses, missiles already allocated under contracts, and missiles currently somewhere in the production pipeline. Most of that is not public in a complete form.
