Pandora's box has now been opened.

With the precedent established of indicting a former President, the Pandora's box for indicting former and current Presidents, Senators, and Congressman is now a viable option. This indictment may be one of the biggest game changers in politics in my lifetime. Ironically and unintentionally, Trump could very well become the martyr for holding, in a court of law, these corrupt, lying, treasonous pricks responsible for their misdeeds. You asked for this, Democrats. Now you've got it. The only obstacle now is convincing the Republican party to grow a set of gonads and take advantage of this new precedent.

And it should be IF they committed a punishable crime. The idea someone should not be charged due to current or former position is wrong. Anyone should be held accountable for crimes committed.
The question is, why is Trump under the thumb of the political prosecution when we could all name multiple much more offensive crimes committed by current politicians.

A sitting Pres cannot be indicted until he is out. His family can be and I`m pretty sure he can`t pardon them for these crimes. Once bidiot is out, attack him. Indictments are easy to get. Convictions not as easy but in Bidiots case it should be easy

Why wouldn’t it be a viable option? Presidents (current and former), congressmen, etc aren’t above the law. If they commit a crime there shouldn’t be this Pandoras Box that mustn’t be opened and they get to get away with it. I doubt you feel Biden should be off limits for past crimes, or that Hillary should have skated like she did?
I agree this prosecution of Trump by Bragg does appear to be nothing more than a political prosecution from everything we know about it. But the idea that Presidents should be off limits to the courts is wrong and frankly swampy.

The problem is that Democrats concentrate themselves into like minded hives and avoid red areas like the plague and criminal statutes have jurisdictional requirements. You think a grand jury, much less an actual jury, is going to vote to convict someone like Obama in a place like Washington DC or Martha's Vinyard?
Trump lived, worked and operated in Manhattan, DC and West Palm Beach. That's enemy occupied territory. They could have charged him with the Kennedy Assasination and the jury pool in those jurisdictions would be frothing at the mouth to send him to prison. In contrast, Trump could be caught on CCTV cameras shoplifting in a place like Cookeville, TN and there is zero chance a grand jury there would indict him.

They should all be indicted if they do anything criminal. That’s one of the only ways we can clean up this mess.
The irony is the only indictment is against Trump - who after the scrutiny he’s been under has to be one of the cleanest millionaires ever.

They can be impeached by Congress. But the Constitution doesn’t say anything about whether they can be prosecuted while a sitting president and the Supreme Court hasn’t weighed one way or the other regarding it.

Only way to know if they committed any crimes is to use the full weight of the state to harass them and their families.. indefinitely putting their entire lives under a microscope.

Unfortunately I agree with you…the right always talks this “Oh you’d better be careful or it can happen to you” shite to the lefties but it never happens because the media has castrated the Republicans. It is absolutely a one way street and nothing ever gets done.
Just look at all the shite the left pulled on Trump since 2015 or Obama/Biden regimes or Hillary…frick me, not one leftist perpetrator of count has paid the price for any of the shite they have done.
