If I still had access to the Mayor's apartment, I might feel pressured to do somethin' 'bout 'dis.

This is on NOPD for allowing it to happen.

Not allowed means not allowed.

It would have helped if they had an officer into the square the day this happened.

Baws!

You frickers need to mobilize. Start handing out $20’s to homeless frickers in the quarter. “Go wreck shop”.

Have you seen the tents that cover every square inch of neutral ground during Mardi Gras? Those are way more problematic than these tents in Jackson Square and nothing is ever done about those.

I bet your hoo-haa smells like the deck of a commercial shrimp boat that's been unwashed for a week.

That's a pathetic attempt at moral equivalency. Your argument would have been better if you had just said "I'm for brutal regimes that force women into bondage and kill gays." It still would have been a bad take, but at least it would make more sense.

They cleaned them out the same day they went up.

It’s not an attempt at a moral equivalent. I’m not posting based on emotions, but facts. The tents on the the neutral ground during MG pose a much greater public safety risk than these few tents in Jackson Square. Looks like everyone is just looking at it emotionally and downvoting me because my words don’t make them feel good.

That's utter horseshite and you either know it or should be ashamed that you don't know it.

To put it another way: which group would you rather be with:

-the group of people camping out to have choice spots for showing their titties for free plastic beads

...OR...

-the group of people camping out in an attempt to intimidate others into supporting a regime which essentially enslaves women, kills gays, seeks to subjugate or kill any who don't believe in their religion and are extremely proud of this

Those are your only options.

You cannot be serious. How did the tents in Jackson Square impact public safety? I anticipate a laughing emoji with no actual response because we both know they didn’t. The impenetrable walls of tents and tables on the neutral ground posed a public safety risk by preventing the public from accessing the neutral ground or moving away from it. When there was a shooting a couple of years ago during a parade, people couldn’t run away because of the tents and tables. We both know you don’t even know what I’m talking about because you’re most likely too afraid to come to a Mardi Gras parade in New Orleans.

You really have no idea what you’re talking about. You just don’t want people to exercise their constitutional rights unless they are white boomers storming the capital wearing MAGA hats.

ETA: making this issue about who you would rather hang out with is making an emotional appeal and I’m not interested in your feelings.

Your point was safety. I asked which group you would feel more safe around. You are failing to answer that because you realize it would expose the weakness of your argument. The only emotion here is your fear of admitting your point was crap.

Their purpose is to intimidate others into joining their cause. That's enough of a safety right off the bat, furthermore it's far more of a concern than people camping in the neutral ground.

Thank you for proving my point. Someone explains how your stance is emotionally-driven hyperbolic claptrap and you somehow thing devolving into a nonsensical rant about constitutional freedoms and boomers and make wild, ignorant accusations of others is a competent response built on sound reason.

Or, to shorten it down, someone called your stance emotional and you got emotional to prove you aren't the one being emotional. For that, you definitely get the laughing emoji.
