The Chinese are not as far behind us in such technology as you’d think - they have had DECADES to catch up.
Just because we have had a head start doesn’t mean the Chinese don’t have extremely lethal capabilities even against the United States.
It is a grave mistake to think so.

It would be a grave mistake if it were not true. They are still working on aircraft to match the 22 and it has been abysmal. Their jets are pieces of junk that a 22 would smoke. Meanwhile we are about to put out the F47 and SR72 Darkstar which none of them are remotely close to matching.

Also there is a misconception that Boeing and Lockheed had a competition for the NGAD. However Boeing and Lockheed were only in competition to see who would do the production. The USAF and pilots designed and built the F-47. They have been flying the prototype for awhile now while running tests.

Everyone is carrying the Paki water on this. The Paki propaganda talks of shooting down 5 planes. OK, but did the Indians strike their target? Do you not expect losses of aircraft when you fly into the homeland of your enemy?
The Ukraine war should have been a wake-up. The age of Gulf War air superiority is over for everyone. The US itself expect to lose high numbers in a war with China in the opening round.
Did the Indians hit their targets? I don't see much about what they were to hit, what damage was done.
To me this shows who is winning the info war. Could be India has achieved their goals and all the Pakis have is to point to the supposedly downed aircraft. Or, they could have stopped them from hitting and gave them a bloody nose too.

To those who are following this closely, Indian officials are in shock at this outcome.
The planes released their payloads within the Indian borders and they didn't expect to lose their aircraft. By some estimates its even greater than 7 aircrafts, although only one is "confirmed" (as confirmed as can be in the fog of war).
The Indian drone attack on many civilian areas today seems like a reaction to distract from their losses and show the Indian public that "something is being done".
