We JUST had a couple of projects hit the news wire locally this week that were pretty vague in detail but were proposed using federal and state tax credits to build multi family in the burbs. Can’t help but wonder if the federal credits came from that program.

Nobody is stopping them from building it just won’t be government subsidized. It’s just human nature (notice I didn’t mention race) for people with skin in the game to take care of their shite. Long track record of section 8 housing destroying once safe neighborhoods.

Wrong. Just giving someone something nice guarantees jack shite. Like I said long track record of the opposite happening.

I know some people, straight up and down Americans, who just got saved by our brave president. They worked all their adult lives pouring their hard earned money into a home and community and doing everything just right so they and their brides or 40 years or so could sell out and retire. Then live out their final years in a small, more rural (and cheap) place and travel plus entertain children and grandchildren..

Barrack H Obama snatched all that away in a final act of evil. Decreeing section 8 housing in their tree shaded, manicured lawns neighborhoods with great schools and local, shopping, not malls. Democrats, I hate to label all with the same brush but all democrats knew what he was up too with his cohort Biden. And that these great Americans were just cannon fodder to them.

How would one go about designing policy that would implement it correctly?

Tucker said last week that Eric Holder was "working day & nite to fine tune the AFFA" with a Democrat controlled Congress behind him. I.E. making it a Federal crime for contractors to build single family housing.

Nobody is stopping them. It's the American dream.

What this Obama policy intended was to take this away from everyone.

If everyone cannot have it, then it's not fair that ANYONE can have it until such a time that everyone can have it.

When I get home tonight, I'm going to discuss with my wife the possibility of buying several little storage sheds from Lowes and putting them in our back and front yards. Then we'll go to some impoverished areas of Memphis and invite some of those people to come live there, with a very modest rent, of course, so that we can show them how to properly live. May even rent out the spare bedroom and even double up my two sons to make yet another one available. It seems to me to be the only fair thing to do.

Then your neighborhood will start looking like lovely Oahu, HI where, for the first time in my life, I saw a corrugated metal shipping container with a window air conditioner and a cutout for a door. With a shoddy car parked in front of it. Just like in a 3rd world country!

No one deserves anything except our inalienable human rights. Subsidized or otherwise artificially "affordable" housing is not one of them.

If I read the new rule right it mainly just takes out the fair housing assessments (I guess they revert to the old way of doing things) and softens the AFFH certification.

Not sure how this keeps low income housing out of the suburbs or has any effect on housing prices per the tweets. This is more of an administrative tweak than anything else. But hey you gotta try to reach suburban women somehow I guess.

Good for him because what they have been doing to the home owners in the neighborhoods affected is disgracefully criminal. It is dropping their home values way below what they owe which was trapping them there with the crime that came along with the Section 8 housing. It was an unprovoked, unnecessary attack on decent homeowners who had done nothing wrong. frick the left wing, I hope it does piss them off. They deserve it for being such nasty frickwads

That is pretty racist and shallow of you to think only white people live in the suburbs.
