The video I saw, they were clearly aircraft on approach to EWR. Some fool is going to end up shooting at an E175 and catch a load of federal charges.

Well, there are ways to get closer.

1000 rednecks with guns shoot indiscriminately into the sky. What could go wrong when all those bullets fall back to earth?

You missed the whole point. The point is if you publicize this event, there would be Feds crawling out of the woodworking and out from under rocks.

The bullshite speculation would end and the government would be exposed. You could fire one single round from a 25 caliber pistol with these things, and you would have three letter agencies all over your arse

Our government is trying to pull some bullshite, and I highly suspect it's to try and keep Donald Trump out of office..

That would be my guess, but I would not say zero doubt. After all the Chinese floated air balloon balloons over our country and our government didn't say shite about it.

I kinda suggested this yesterday but got many downvotes. Looks like the people are coming around to my way of thinking. If one flies over my lake house, I'll unload whatever I can find on it.

Wait...what????

Where you from? LOL You must be a Yankee.

I got a 12 pt. typical buck last year at 225 clear through the lungs with a .308.

Pretty sure I can smack a drone at 100 yards.

Wonder if you could shake them up with some Fourth of July class aerial artillery.

Now, that's how you do it. A fireworks charge from the police I would think would be a lot less than a gun firing charge (in an urban or suburban setting).

Exactly. Only 50 of the rifles have live bullets. Who did it?

We need to use electromagnetic pulses, instead.

If i were to see something at low level, I'm not asking permission.

My 308 AR10 with bipod and thermals will be spitting. There's nothing around me but trees and some cattle.

Hunting drones is more akin to hunting waterfowl. Recommend a 12ga shotgun, vs rifle.
Steel shot or lead? You don't know how deadly I am with a rifle, is my guess.

Is there such a thing as mini EMPs? Or directed EMP guns?

Given the nature of magnetic fields that doesn't seem plausible unless you are not worried about knocking out the electronic equipment in the same radius from you and the drone.

In many jurisdictions they re legal...blaze away at them with a few star shells I don't know if they'll get up high enough but the effects should be hard on any sensors on those things

Gee Mr Fed its the Holidays you boys said they werent yours and you flew it right into our holiday fireworks display.. Sucks to be you try not lying for a change..

Even easier. Just go to your local West Marine or boat store any buy a flare gun set. Shoot flare at them. You'll get a good 5 seconds of really bright light in the region of the drone.
