They still are.

And apparently MAGA is working with them.

We just saw what Trump wanted passed and it was not "small government efforts"

This falls in line with his first admin, which was not "small government efforts", either.

Trump was elected last time to build a wall.

Yep

He tried.

Nope
quote:

The GOP majority congress stymied him

Nope

He signed away that wall on his first budget. Voluntarily. He abandoned his central campaign promise, the very thing that got him elected, in order to give billions to the MIC.

Team Trump gets on here and tries to peddle this crap about how he isn't manipulated by others or that he was stymied by some people. No, he was just weak. Campaigned like a lion, governed like a lamb.

It doesn't matter what Trump does, Team Trump will never assign blame to him for his own failures and will make up endless excuses. And in the face of absolute factual criticism of Trump, you guys then call critics bots and losers and TDS, even though these same people are ostensibly on your side in battling Democrats. You talk about unity and country but your loyalty is only for Trump. That's never going to work.

He's ruled by his ego and he has no intention of doing the job he promised everyone for the past two years that he was going to do - just like last time. This is what his prior record tells us and what his current behavior indicates. What the critics want more than anything is for him to do what he said he's going to do. That would end all of the criticism from the right.

Trump: Elon and Vivek are creating DOGE so we can reign in spending, erase our debt, and save America.
Trump: Give me no debt limit till 2029 so I can make America great again quickly.

You can't square those statements. They are completely orthogonal to one another, yet you guys freak out when people point this out.

Other than ego, Trump has no first principles, no roots, no foundation, and always bends to pressure. You can apply pressure to him to do the right thing or you can kiss his arse relentlessly and let the pressure come from the people that want bad things for our country.

This is just like how they try to pretend he didn't add trillions to the debt during Covid because Congress agreed to a plan with his admin

You do realize that Yahoo News is communist. When it was formed the staff came from The Nation, which went communist, pro Stalin back in the 1950s and has since been extreme left lying propagandists. Yahoo is my home page and they have had an anti Trump story at least once a day since 2016.

When did this happen?
Two nights ago.

Have you not been following the news?

If not, you may have missed Schumer's gleeful response as well.

Foisting BOTH a Debt Limit negotiation AND now a Budget negotiation onto the March 2025 Senate calendar is mana from the heavens for Schumer and Senate Dems.

When Dems are able to stop the Trump agenda dead in its tracks in 3 months, perhaps we'll create more "I did that" stickers, but this time in the likeness of Chip Roy, Schumer's stooge.

Do you understand they are in the legislative branch? They make laws

Trump is in the executive, they execute laws.

Let's see if Trump DOJ investigates Fauci. Rand did his part to publicly question Fauci and present any potential cases of malignment.

Remember lock her up? Let's see if Trump has changed.

You will have a R majority.

Trump will need to learn how to properly negotiate if he wants to get what he wants.

I’m against anything that Biden and Schumer endorse without any investigation. This whole budget fiasco simply reinforced that nothing has changed with DOGE and Trump.

Well there is this little thing called the filibuster. You may be unaware of it. Schumer's stooge, aka Chip Roy may be unaware of it. But Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries sure as hell are aware of it.

This is probably the most petty thing (below) Ive heard a grown man say.

quote:

The drama surrounding the government funding deadline escalated Thursday when President-elect Donald Trump attacked Rep. Chip Roy, R-Texas. The shocking development came as Trump insisted on including a debt limit increase, which Roy firmly opposes.

“The very unpopular ‘Congressman’ from Texas, Chip Roy, is getting in the way, as usual, of having yet another Great Republican Victory – All for the sake of some cheap publicity for himself. Republican obstructionists have to be done away with,” Trump posted from his Truth Social account. “The Democrats are using them, and we can’t let that happen.”

Trump throwing a fit because he doesnt want to be limited on debt. And yall claim Roy is a D stooge.

Youre rationalizing progressive behavior.

Or it’s because these people vote to spend money so to call themselves some sort of fiscal conservative is laughable.

They have their talking points. And they are going to throw up all over the board for the next 4 years.

When the economic reality hit us over the next 2 years, they will 100% forget what Biden did in 2023 and 2024. They will pay a small lip service to slightly mention Biden, but it will all be due to Trump from 2016-2020 and Trump's 2025/26.

These people toted the the Lincoln Project lines. Always have and always will.

One more thing. They claim they want an America that already existed. They just don't want how it was. They want it in a globalistic utopia that has NEVER existed in the history of man.

And they are going to use it!
