The Dems are so outside the normal that basically any non-gay male that isn’t a third world shite holer has no interest in them. The republicans had their boot on the Dems throat and the Dems have no counter but we like to step on our own dicks.

They’ll demonize Vance, or Rubio, or whoever the next candidate is, and they might go apeshit again depending on the reactions of the candidate and the voters.

It’s already over. Nothing EVER moves right. They will have to kick the DSA out of the DNC completely or else their party will get taken over. It’s not “if”, but “when”.

I'm not sure this was ever really a thing. Television forced politicians to be polite and dignified because that's what society once expected. But I've been reading Presidential biographies (up to Grover Cleveland so far) and politics has always been a dirty business. Lincoln used to write letters to newspapers slandering his opponents while using a pen name. The gloves never went on.

The delimma for the mainstream Dems is that they are weaker than they were 20 years ago (just look at their Presidential candidate choices). So, without the DSA they can't win. But the DSA is not interested in status quo liberalism. They're committed commies and they have removed a lot of the older DSA members (DSA has been around a long time). They refuse to debate or compromise with the older DSA socialists who reject communism. They just kick them out.
The Dem plot is simple:
Cooperate with the commies till we have a Dem in the whitehouse. Then he/she/it can stop any nationalist commie movement promised to the DSA.
