The entire Left was behind him because he was "saving the Earth" through pushing EVs people actually want, right up until he bought their socialist megaphone and made it into much more of a free-speech marketplace (as was the original intent for it). Liberal/Progressive ideas now have to compete in a more honest environment of ideas-marketplace, one which does not falsely inflate support for their ideas (while squelching counter arguments or any points the Left doesn't like) in a manner which would send endless chills down Orwell's spine.
And they fricking hate Elon for that like a tranny hates being called their "deadname".

Maher is a liberal I can live with and even like. He’s an old school lib that believes in honest debate and old school lib thinking, and hates the modern woke garbage. I disagree with him on many things and that’s ok.

Can you link to where the original intent was to be a free speech megaphone? Because that is not the impression I got from reading a book that chronicled the founding of twitter.
I generally agree with your post, but it really bothers me when people on the right start making up stuff, as you did here. We have to be nearly perfect in our arguments, because they have the press megaphone.

Don't be a celebrity worshipper like OMBootlicker. Maher has somehow managed to convince people that he is a champion of free speech when he has spent decades on his various shows shutting down debate on global warming bs, guns, etc. He's all for censorship until it's aimed at him.
