Where does it say in the OP or X-post that this is the original buy out option people that are protesting? Why would those people be on the street instead of lounging around spending the pay for not working?

This 100k fed employees are one’s that haven’t been working for 8 months because of the Fork in the road aka deferred resignation program. Many of which that were set to retire this year or were probationary. The latest date they could “resign” is September 30

It would be interesting to know whether or not the ‘water cooler’ talk had been that if an employee had in some way been complicit in manipulating the numbers or monies in partisan political ways that bordered on illegal, that they might be ‘investigated’ on what will likely be RICO. Or even if there were to be true qualification, efficiency and productivity inquiries that might expose the ‘Diploma Mill’ version of Institutional corruption. The whole thing is so far reaching as it goes to the basic principle of just what is the aim and purpose of Government. I.e., to ensure that the people are free to compete (or fail) and prosper via the Capitalist System , or to be the arbiter and provider of basic needs and relative affluence.

This IS ‘rocket science’.

In the thread about the rate of inflation, it was stated that shortage of labor is what is driving restaurant prices so high.

Now we know where these people can find work.

If someone has to tell you they are a hero, that's a good sign that they aren't.
