The tanker that suffered an external explosion sounds like it may have hit a mine, as their has been no chatter of an external attack from IRGC speedboats. First mine hit of the conflict?

DRAMATIC REPORT FROM THE WSJ: The U.S. Navy has restarted "Project Freedom," a military initiative aimed at escorting and guiding commercial ships through the Strait of Hormuz. The renewed operation comes after Saudi Arabia and Kuwait restored base and airspace access, following a brief pause in the mission

Respectfully, you do need to stop speculating and switching sides. I can’t imagine what it means to you, I am a real outsider, although i have been to iran and have close friends there. But we have to see what will happen. It seems Trump is testing whether or not Sunnis can accept Israel over Shia that bomb them. If it happens it will also further weaken the regime. There is still a blockade and a massive fleet at their door. So let us see what happens

"Nioh, stop being so hard on President Trump. You need to trust the plan!"

I'm aware of this. And on some level I'm sure there is more at play here than we know.

But I have a duty to hold his feet to the fire when every time he posts about "great and beautiful deals with the islamic republic", people inside Iran see this and grow ever more hopeless and depressed. People are not cold and calculated geopolitics machines. We are human. Our reactions are human.

His statements and actions aren't without consequence, they currently cause people inside Iran to lose the will to live. And because of that, I need to be the voice of these people and emphasise the utter frustration everyone feels. It's a valid and valuable perspective, and just as valid as experts and think tanks and analysts.

Of course I will keep up the pressure. Of course I will loudly declare how unpopular the prospect of a deal with the islamic regime is.

I will never be the person who says "Shut up, don't be a panician, trust the plan". I refuse to treat the people inside Iran as hysterical and clueless about what this all looks like from our perspective.

I'm sure this is a very unpopular thing with some of you, but I will not apologise for any of it.

Long Live Iran.

US President Donald Trump is expected to hold a cabinet meeting at Camp David on Wednesday as talks with Iran near a critical stage, the New York Post reported on Tuesday.

All cabinet members, including outgoing Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, are expected to attend the meeting at the presidential retreat in Maryland, the report said.

The meeting location could change because of bad weather, it added.

I support Nioh speaking out and applying pressure on behalf of her people. She's not wrong.

Especially when Trump goes from telling Iranian protestors on January 13th that "help is on the way" to saying that Iranian negotiators are "professional" and singing the praises of the team and claiming Iran was "begging for a deal" (the IRGC certainly was not).

Yup. A bunch of pro-American Iranians are about to turn on us if this deal gets done.

Iran will not give up control and or interrupting ship traffic on the SOH.

Iran will not release the uranium.

Iran continues to attack the US Navy.

How do we ever make a deal?
