Eh, it’s kind of performative at this point to bomb sites digging out for the third time.

Saying you’ll make them glow, or threatening bridge and dam day while also being too meek to candidly disclose you accidentally hit 1 school in 13,000 strikes is the real tell.

It’s hard to escape the TACO tag when this administration is just as worried about the deaths of Iranian civilians as they are American servicemen.

NEW | Right now we are seeing heavy U.S. Air Force activity over Israel/Jordan.
There are several tankers and transports up in the same time frame.
These include KC-46A pegasus, C-17A globemaster & KC-135R Stratotanker.

The KC-46A & KC-135R are both aerial refueling tankers. The C-17A is heavy strategic transport.
This kind of concentration (refueling plus transport) supports sustained air operations, ongoing or in preparation for them.

Seems like we're standing at the edge of the cliff, about to jump

I don't think it would be lost on Trump to attempt a decapitating blow on Memorial Day weekend. He loves our military and would absolutely organize something "special" for Memorial Day. I could easily see him purposely building up this level of firepower and waiting for the symbolism

UAE seems to be preparing for a retaliation they know is coming soon. And with the air traffic and diplomats clearing out in quick order, I wouldn't be surprised if we in America wake up to new strikes in the morning.

Let's frick em up. End it.

I’m seeing chatter in the wider interweb of an emerging deal that leaves the nuclear material on the table for a future negotiation.

But it is Friday and maybe the chatter is aimed at the adjusting the stock market for Monday profiteering.

The market is closed on Monday.

From Al Jazeera's live feed, 1 hour ago:

quote:

Iran receives humanitarian aid shipments from Iraq, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan

Humanitarian aid shipments from Iraq, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan have arrived in Iran, the Iranian Red Crescent Society says.

The shipments entered Iranian territory this week through official land routes, said Razieh Alishvandi, the society’s deputy for international affairs and humanitarian law, to Tasnim news agency.

Alishvandi said Iraq sent nine large trucks carrying approximately 180 tonnes of supplies, including 120 tonnes of food such as rice, flour, tea, legumes and canned goods, along with medicines and medical equipment.

Uzbekistan provided 15 trucks loaded with about 300 tonnes of medicines and consumer medical supplies to boost the Red Crescent’s relief and treatment capabilities, she added.

The shipment from Kazakhstan arrived via 30 railway cars, weighing more than 1,700 tonnes, and included food supplies such as flour, sugar and canned goods, in addition to medicines and medical equipment.

The country is grappling with a severe economic crisis due to the war. Inflation has exceeded 40 percent, driving up the cost of food and medicine for millions of Iranians.

I read yesterday that the Pakistani Field Marshall had left Iran, but Al Jazeera posted this less than a hour ago:

quote:

Iran parliament Speaker Ghalibaf meets Pakistani army chief Munir in Tehran

Iran’s top negotiator and parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, has met with Pakistani army chief Field Marshal Asim Munir in Tehran, according to Iranian state media.
