The New Iran's Persian Gulf Strait Authority (PGSA):
The Islamic Republic of Iran has defined the regulatory jurisdiction for the management of the Hormuz_Strait as follows:
“The line connecting Kuh-e Mubarak in Iran to the south of Fujairah in the UAE at the eastern entrance of the Strait, to the line connecting the tip of Qeshm Island in Iran to Umm Al-Quwain in the UAE at the western entrance.”
Transit through this area for the purpose of passing through the Hormuz strait requires coordination with, and authorization from, the Persian Gulf Strait Authority (PGSA).

Trump really poised to let Iran do to him what it did to Carter, huh? I imagine he doesn’t give a shite because that is JD or Rubio’s problem in 2028.

Trump is getting walked on right now. This was as I’ve said about two months ago, a dumb arse war.

Hardline Iranian influencer Ali Gholhaki said on Wednesday the United States proposed a package to Tehran that includes reopening discussions on the Strait of Hormuz, releasing 25% of Iran’s frozen assets - about $25 billion - allowing uranium transfer abroad, and accepting 3.67% enrichment limits, alongside other nuclear and sanctions-related measures, though key disputes remain unresolved. "Americans, after receiving Iran's feedback, have proposed that the "end of the war across all fronts," "lifting of the US blockade on the Strait of Hormuz," "opening of the Strait of Hormuz by Iran with tariffs and the maritime route preferred by Iran," "release of 25% of Iran's frozen assets _approximately $25 billion_," "exemption for Iran's oil sales for 30 days," and the main phase of negotiations—namely "removal of 400 kg of uranium from Iran _in the best case, shipment to a third country_" and "acceptance of Iran's right to 3.67% enrichment (unlikely to be accepted by the U.S. in the final phase)" and "closure of nuclear facilities _excluding the Tehran reactor, solely for medical purposes_"—be signed all at once by Iran!" he posted on X. "Iran says all phases proposed by the US should be implemented for verification over 30 days, so that Iran can both sell its oil and be persuaded to engage in nuclear negotiations!" Gholhaki added.
$25 billion to Iran is going to be a really hard sell after Trump (rightly) bashed Obama for sending billions to them.

Probably need to put the 48 hour rule on regular army vs IRGC conflicts.
Everyone knows the IRGC is the real power in the country, and I doubt the regular army is getting paid, and barely fed.
Maybe Mossad/CIA decided on who's going to open up the civil conflict.

Release it to whoever takes out the IRGC and the Islamic Republic after they take them out.

While deeply skeptical of any talks with Iran, I will say that the latest reports seem to indicate that our latest offer requires a lot more of Iran than just agreeing to negotiate over the next month. The reports this morning seemed to indicate that this was all that they were being asked to do in exchange for no strikes.

That is essentially a return to pre-war state of affairs and since that info came from a hard-line regime supporter, I don't put much weight into it.
While I'm souring on Trump's handling of this whole thing and I think we should go back to wrecking their world, I doubt this is a kind of deal he would make.

Talks:
IRGC is stalling for time.
Trump is stalling for time.
Neither side is serious about the talks.
Each is stalling for their own reasons. The IRGC is stalling hoping Trump dies or something.
Trump is setting the stage behind the scenes to end the war by a coup from within Iran.

And if that does happen, you just know he'll say that was his plan all along

This new Hormuz Authority thing won't last long. I would have to imagine the same Gulf Nations that requested we hold off two days ago, will soon be begging for us to finish the job when their bottom dollar starts getting hurt by having to pay transit fees to the IRGC.

UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber said on Wednesday that the closure of the Strait of Hormuz could undermine global maritime security, saying that allowing a single country to control the key waterway would effectively end “freedom of navigation,” according to remarks shared by the Atlantic Council.

It was the plan all along. I was calling it in here from early in the war. And then after the fact we find out that the Kurds screwed it all up. Therefore the delay is longer than was planned. Probably lost two weeks.
