He had a window - he had the GSs, the Hebrew State, Lebanon, China frozen as well as Russia - the EU showing their cowardice - and either miscalculated or became too confident and it has closed.
DJT is stuck and has one of two choices: resume with no intent of stopping - don't care if Ghandi steps in - or walk away and leave the ME more volatile than ever

Apparently Trump confirmed that Middle Eastern allies called and asked him to hold off on new attacks fearing new retaliation. In turn, Trump just said that Iran "still has some capacity" to retaliate which will not surprising directly contradicts his constant proclamations that Iran is "decimated" and "defeated". That type of language is significantly hurting the messaging around this conflict.

Damn, you don't use your brain, do you? Since their AF and navy are done, retaliation comes from drones and other things easily hidden in houses, schools, etc.

So Iran isn't defeated then?

Correct - folks that are knocked out and defeated don’t have the ability to hit back.
Iran can still hit back.
Trump has fricked this up no matter how badly you want to think otherwise.

In addition to the UAVs intercepted subsequently, had all originated from Iraqi territory.

Even if the reasons are legitimate, the perception of the moving goalposts for resuming war is weak. He needs to stop treating resuming operations and negotiating as mutually exclusive options. You can bomb the shite out of them (or give Israel the green light and provide support) and keep negotiating at the same time.
Agreed.
Resume bombing (especially of any IRGC that we can find) and dont stop. Tell Iran that the only way to stop would be unconditional surrender.
No deals, no 20 year ban on enrichment, no removal of sanctions... nothing.
Bomb them and keep killing them until find someone who will surrender. That person is out there, we just have to remove all the ones who arent willing to call it quits.

Regime change is the only realistic guarantee that they won't continue to pursue nuclear weapons.

If I was IRGC that is what I would be doing. Someone made the comment to keep killing IRGC until we find the person who will unconditionally surrender. If we keep stringing this action out there may be no one left to fight the IRGC.
Trump told the people to wait and help is on the way. I am beginning to see the reason for the TACO moniker.

Have you taken a history class? It's a well-established fact that after every war—except for the Korean War, because it is still truly ongoing and no one has been "defeated"—there are always remnants or pockets of resistance, even in defeat.

Yes, but Trump's implication throughout his Truths and messaging regarding Iran being "defeated" is that they don't pose a threat anymore. He's backtracking on that now since there really is no easy exit ramp here and we've entered into a stalemate of asymmetric warfare that will likely keep oil prices above $90 for the next year at least.

This should be of no surprise to anyone. One of the main guys we are negotiating with, Ghalibaf, advocated for the continued brutal crackdown on Iranian protesters via the use of the death penalty. He's done that since this war kicked off and he found himself in a position with a little more power.

Were you seriously stupid enough to believe that? Do you realize we were at war? Messaging is not for us. It is for Iran.
