Ya, if that's true, goes to show you why appeasement for decades was a bad idea.
People post this to gloat that the US made a bad decision. It shows the exact opposite.

We all know, no one tells Trump what to do, no one . . . except Russia . . . and China . . . and Israel . . . and apparently, Saudi Arabia.

It’s time to start bombing the shite out of them again. The constant playing chicken isn’t going to go anywhere and is just giving Iran more time to dig its heels in for more protracted war.

The admin's problem seems to be they don't want to invade and attempt to occupy Iran, which obviously makes sense. But they also don't want to wait a long time and drag out a slow strangulation by economic means.
They want Iran to just say "No Mas" after a couple of weeks. Which seems incredibly unlikely at this point.

Correct. Microwave mentality vs Iran’s years long strategy.
We’re playing with both arms tied behind our backs.

We all know that your "opinion" of Trump is like the former Ayatollah's opinion of Trump. Biased to the point of dogma and never gonna change.

I’m guessing that watching Ukraine drone ground troops non stop is the only reason for not invading Iran. There’s no big bad military there. Everyone talked up Sadaam and Iraq’s military for a decade. And they folded in days.

Of course they will want reparations to open the Strait. That’s their bargaining position. We’ve been saying this for weeks. Bombing them doesn’t change this.
It will cost a lot of money to back away if you’re not going for regime change.
All bad options. All foreseeable.
That’s what was so frustrating about it so early on. The US created this leverage for Iran.

IRAN REJECTS U.S. STRAIT OF HORMUZ PROPOSAL
Senior Iranian official Mohsen Rezaei says Tehran will not allow the U.S. to reopen the Strait of Hormuz through what he called an “unrealistic plan.”
According to reports, Iran is demanding war reparations and “tangible benefits” before agreeing to any deal.
Rezaei also said Iran will continue its “resistance.”
So while Washington talks about progress, Tehran is signaling the opposite:
No clean reopening.
No simple exit.
No deal without payment.

Iran is trying to create leverage but it’s just grasping at straws. US blockade is the leverage. Iran needs trade flow through the straight more than the US.

Ya know, I don't just look at someone I know little about and instantaneously form a negative opinion.
In the case of my "opinion" of Trump as you put it, it is based entirely on his actions.
This war is just the pinnacle but hardly the only thing he's done upon which I judge him negatively.
In case you are too myopic to see it, he is being led by the nose by Iran in terms of ending this war, something he is desperate to do but has no idea how to achieve.

I agree the blockade is useful. But to an extent. They’re betting on support for the blockade to diminish.

You enjoy fantasizing about who controls Trump, don't you? Even if your fantasies are inconsistent and illogical. First it was " Netanyahu led Trump by the nose into doing this." Then it was " no one tells Trump what to do, no one . . . except Russia . . . and China . . . and Israel . . . and apparently, Saudi Arabia.". And now it's Iran.
It's obvious that your ardor to discredit Trump is outpacing your ability to dream up new insults. Trying being more creative. When you list everyone on both sides of the conflict as leading Trump "by the nose", it starts to resemble the mindless ramblings of someone with nothing original to say.

Why don't the US and Israel dispose of another group of Iranian leaders? The next batch may be more open to making a deal.

Any deal with the present Iranian regime is worthless. For Tump to act like it is a big deal makes him appear weak. He needs to stop issuimg deadlines to only extend them later. He must be taking advice from his idiot son-in-law.
And if Trump never stopped the bombing and made no attempt to negotiate you would be calling him a bloodthirsty war criminal, who must be taking advice from his Jewish son-in-law.
TDS makes you predictable.

That IMO is why they pushed through a handful of ships a few days ago. To prove the US can if they choose to. To drive home the point that we are in control.
