Every day the Iran blockade is in place, is one more day the IRGC and its proxies can't get paid.
Trump is daring them to put out a stupid set of demands, and the US can decline, continue to negotiate, and bankrupt the regime by dragging the negotiations on for another two weeks, or force Iran to try and launch a significant attack on the Strait or Ballistic missiles in the region, and he can throw up his hands and say, so we tried to negotiate and they refused and go scorched earth with the added backing and cover of the other Gulf states.
He is trying to play the man-of-peace card, all the while trying to bankrupt the IGRC, which is the only way to see a popular uprising inside Iran have any chance. If we go back to bombing them, it will end up being that much more expensive to rebuild and that much harder to not end up with a fractured new government that hates the West.

Nor should anyone. They are only doing this to keep up the facade that they are a peaceful nation so they can keep buying arms from us while at the same time getting oil from Iran via black market venues in exchange for weapons and supplies. Pakistan is dirty.

Can someone fill me on what’s going on? I thought things were looking bleak for peace and the ceasefire was almost certainly going to expire.
Pakistan begged us for more time as they have several irons in the fire involving Iran. There is a lot on the line for them in terms of money, support from Arab neighbors and etc. They also deal with Iran on the down low, particularly in oil through back channels in exchange for weapons, training, supplies, etc.
Trump gets to say "See I'm being reasonable" to the world. Meanwhile we are pouring in military assets into the area for the final blow.

Translated from Persian
I just had a very brief call with the person in charge of identifying our resident in Tehran (Mr. Snap!) and I will mention a very short part of his report that is for public viewing:
- It is very likely that the Stability Faction has gathered around Saeed Jalili himself and today attempted a quiet coup.
- For nearly 5 hours now, short armed clashes have been occurring in Tehran along the Babai Highway axis, which is the location of Vahidi's hiding place, the IRGC commander.
- We are unable to see the clashes themselves, but it appears that one or more mobile groups are attempting to forcibly enter unknown military fortifications.
- It is rumored that Qalibaf and Araghchi have been arrested.
Some say that these two have been transferred to a safe house of the IRGC in the Pardis area.
Interestingly, sounds of gunfire have also been heard from this neighborhood.
The situation is highly uncontrollable and militarily unassessable.
End of the interim report for public viewing.

As @POTUS
has made clear, the United States Navy will continue the blockade of Iranian ports. In a matter of days, Kharg Island storage will be full and the fragile Iranian oil wells will be shut in. Constraining Iran’s maritime trade directly targets the regime’s primary revenue lifelines.
The @USTreasury
will continue to apply maximum pressure through Economic Fury to systematically degrade Tehran’s ability to generate, move, and repatriate funds.
Any person or vessel facilitating these flows—through covert trade and finance—risks exposure to U.S. sanctions.
We continue to freeze the funds stolen by the corrupt leadership on behalf of the people of Iran.

One of the reasons for Trump’s decision to extend the ceasefire is that American and Pakistani mediators are waiting for the response of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, to the latest proposal and for him to give clear instructions to his negotiators, according to a regional source familiar with mediation efforts and an Israeli source with knowledge of the discussions.
The Israeli source said that Khamenei is expected to give his response on Wednesday.
The regional source added that Iranian negotiators have stated they are waiting for the green light from the Supreme Leader.

I still believe that the cease fire was to rearm and rest to get stronger while at the same time the Iranian IRGC and the regular military get weaker and more divided.
We don't fire a shot and when the cease fire is lifter the fighting will be easier.
Ground troops will not be used, except possibly to hold areas that the new gov't have already taken from the IRGC.
So we are now basically orchestrating a a coup.
Rebels and then the regular Iranian army will be the "boots on the ground" that are fighting for our side.

On my personal behalf and on behalf of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, I sincerely thank President Trump for graciously accepting our request to extend the ceasefire to allow ongoing diplomatic efforts to take their course.
With the trust and confidence reposed in, Pakistan shall continue its earnest efforts for negotiated settlement of conflict.
I sincerely hope that both sides will continue to observe the ceasefire and be able to conclude a comprehensive ‘Peace Deal’ during the second round of talks scheduled at Islamabad for a permanent end to the conflict.

We just need to start pounding them again while choking off their shipping.
It's absurd that we give them an inch

I have no doubt Iran has been rearming also with weapons and manpower .

Well you`ve heard of a paper tiger, what we have here is a gay cardboard tiger that may not even be sill alive.
You could`nt in your wildest dreams make this sht up and this is who we are waiting for?
Even if we we get one of these clown to sign, there is zero trust.

Why would you worry about that? Iran has already admitted to the most serious accusations against it.
The question of the day, and the reason we initiated this conflict, is the claim Iran had X amount of Enriched Uranium and were X number of days away from a functional nuclear weapon.
I certainly don't have access to all of the inside info, but it remains to be seen how credible all of this intelligence actually is, or was.
You'll note that not all of the "evidence of WMD" actually panned out in Iraq and it turns out some of the pretenses for that lengthy war were not true at all.
