However, the United States and Indonesia, on April 13, 2026, formally established a Major Defense Cooperation Partnership during a Pentagon meeting between Secretary of War Pete Hegseth and Indonesian Defense Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin. China's sea lanes are now totally controlled by President Trump.

Feels like the blockade has totally taken the winds out of the sail of the "Iran has won a strategic victory by controlling the Strait" narrative. I hope and expect Trump will ignore the calls of the Saudis and some others to stop the blockade.

Geology wise I think Iran is sitting on a lot of natural uranium deposits, that could supply a lot of nuclear power plants. If they would just focus on power plant fuel I think it would be allowed
