Trump said 60 empty oil tankers are on their way to the USA to fill up and may be a good supply to fill the void from the shortage because of the lack of flow through the straits.
If the USA and maybe other sources can meet the needs of the other countries that were dependent on Iranian oil then the pressures of high oil prices should lighten up.
Iran needs to be isolated and run broke.
With no oil for sale Iran is screwed.

Notably, the US continued to deliver munitions to RAF Fairford after the ceasefire earlier this week, and the forward-based bomber fleet is still present and armed.
Interestingly, the "ceasefire" allows a lot of US rearming and resupply at just the right time after so much expenditure of arms. Nice break for maintenance too.
Arm the uprising with attack drones, communications, and all kinds of firearms.

They’re lucky Trump even was gracious enough to have these talks in Pakistan. Total show of magnanimity. Almost feels like pity tbh.

The thing nobody is talking about is that we finally have positive confirmation from the mullahs themselves that they intend to acquire nuclear weapons.
The USA can never allow a group of 8th Century savages who want nukes so they can precipitate Armageddon, thereby causing the Twelfth Imam to arise from a well in Qom, to EVER obtain those nukes.
If the Democrats and European "elites" were not so blinded by hatred for Trump they would understand that this is a humanity-saving mission.

?The CIA and Mossad knew from the very beginning, through eavesdropping on the conversations and communications of the Islamic Republic's leaders, that the two sides' demands were 180 degrees in opposition. So why waste time and even send JD Vance into the mix?
?Two main reasons:
?1. Diplomatic showmanship, so that if the tables turn someday, they can tell the world we gave negotiations a chance until the very last second, and in the end, it was they who flipped the table.
?2. Sending JD Vance (who is inherently anti-war) was to let him see with his own eyes what the other side is after. When someone like him, who opposes conflict, comes and experiences the Islamic Republic's "tricks" up close, no one in Washington can say anymore, "It could have been resolved with sweet talk."
?In fact, America didn't go there to reach an agreement; it went to "fact-build" the "impossibility of agreement" for everyone (especially its own internal hardliners).

Before he launched a daring military capture of the dictator Nicholas Maduro, President Donald Trump brought the Venezuelan economy to its knees with a naval blockade that strangled the nation’s oil revenues.
If Iran refuses to accept the final deal the United States offered Saturday, Trump could bomb Tehran back to the “Stone Ages” as he vowed. Or he might just reprise his successful blockade strategy to choke an already teetering Iranian economy and ratchet up diplomatic pressure on China and India by cutting them off one of their key sources of oil.
Ironically, the massive USS Gerald Ford carrier that led the Venezuelan blockade is now in the Persian Gulf after a brief hiatus for repairs and crew rest after a deadly fire. And now it joins the USS Abraham Lincoln and other major naval assets.
In short, Trump simply could out-blockade Iran’s hold over the Strait of Hormuz, experts said.
“It would be very easy for the US Navy to exert complete control over what does and does not go up and down the Strait now,” the Lexington Institute’s national security expert Rebecca Grant told Just the News. “I've heard about 10 ships have moved in the last 24 hours. One of them was a reflagged Russian tanker, and we know that cargos have gone out to China, to India, and we've seen some inbound traffic.
“If Iran gets intransigent, then absolutely, the US Navy can set up with great overwater surveillance … and watch everything that goes in and out of that Strait and you'll have to ask the US Navy if you want to move past Kharg Island or past that narrow part by Oman,” she added.
After a marathon peace negotiation, Vice President JD Vance left Pakistan late Saturday without a deal with Iran and declared that the United States had offered its “final and best offer” to Tehran.
Vance told a press conference that American officials negotiated in good faith for 21 hours, and now it is up to Iran to decide whether to accept the final terms approved by President Donald Trump.
“We leave here with a very simple proposal, a method of understanding that is our final and best offer,” Vance said. “We will see if the Iranians accept it.”
The specifics of what the United States offered were not immediately released.
But Vance made clear Iran had not yet agreed to Trump's "central goal": abandoning their development of nuclear weapons.
"We haven’t seen that yet,” Vance said.
With a sand clock waning on the temporary cease-fire, the Trump administration already prepared multiple options if Iran refuses Trump's final offer.
The idea of a naval blockade was first suggested last week by retired Gen. Jack Keane, one of the nation’s top military strategists.
“If the war resumes and after we degrade Iran’s remaining military assets sufficiently, the US military could choose to occupy Kharg — or to destroy it,” Keane wrote it a New York Post column. “Alternatively, the US Navy could set up a blockade, shutting down Tehran’s export lifeline.”
If we preserve Kharg’s infrastructure but take physical control, we’d have a chokehold over Iran’s oil and its economy,” he added. “That’s the ultimate leverage we’d need to seize its ‘nuclear dust,’ or stores of enriched uranium, and to eliminate its enrichment facilities.”

100% spot-on. The average American has no idea about their beliefs regarding the Twelfth Imam and purposely bringing about Armageddon in their quest to bring Islam to the entire world

I am of the opinion that the negotiations with the Iranian regime in Islamabad was successful.
Successful in the sense that JD was given his first direct assignment to negotiate directly with leaders of an hostile regime to understand clearly how power out there in the world looks like.
He obviously gets the Intel and sits down with the President and the National Security team but this time he realizes that without American display of force, conflicts outside its borders will just get worse.
He got reports that the Iranian Navy, Airforce, Missle capabilities and nuclear ambitions were anniliated but he couldn't get an agreement with the Iranian regime.
Just goes to show that diplomacy doesn't always work and not every regime and leadership is willing to strike deals willingly.
Now that's that.
At this point, if the Iranian regime doesn't interrupt the clearance of the Strait of Hormuz for commerce to resume, they could be spared.
If they make the conscious decision to strike US assets in the process of clearance or afterwards, there will be justification to do a complete regime change.
Right now, there nuclear facilities have been significantly destroyed.
Their missle capabilities reduced dramatically.
They don't have too much capability to project power beyond their own borders without being anniliated this time.
The leadership in Tehran will reign in the troops so they themselves don't fall victim to US and Israeli military forces.
At least that's how I see this playing out.
Now Joe Kent and Tucker need to be informed accordingly.

Read Between the Lines - JD Vance announcement “we didn’t get a deal,” is really code to Iran, Pakistan is no longer supporting you. You’re alone in this.
“Whatever shortcomings of the negotiation, it wasn’t because of the Pakistanis who did an amazing job and really tried to help us and the Iranians bridge the gap and get to a deal,” Vance said.

Exactly. No deal because the Islamic Republic refuses to abandon its nuclear bomb dream and terror networks.
The mullahs are more isolated than ever - and the Iranian people demand regime change.
We’ve had 47 years of oppression, poverty & “Death to America” chants. They are a threat to the world and region.
The regime is the problem. Freedom and support for the Iranian people is the only real solution.

Speaking as someone inside Iran who stayed connected through Starlink during the total blackout, I can sincerely affirm the real mood across the country right now:
We are relieved the ceasefire negotiations collapsed.
The spirit inside Iran and the genuine desires of the people stand totally against any truce or bargaining with this brutal regime — particularly figures like Ghalibaf, a murdering psychopath who has countless Iranian blood on his hands
Every form of engagement or compromise with the Islamic Republic is strongly opposed by ordinary Iranians. We are determined to complete the uprising we launched in January. Any support the international community — above all the United States — can offer is deeply appreciated.
For nearly five decades we have suffered relentless torture, sexual violence, executions, degradation, and sorrow at the hands of this tyranny. The outside world has no real grasp of the extent of our pain. The Iranian public feels zero concern for Hezbollah, yet the regime is ready to endanger the entire nation for them. They have always prioritized their terrorist proxies over the well-being of their own citizens.
We exhausted every peaceful option: huge street demonstrations, open resistance, attempts at gradual reform, dialogue — you name it. None succeeded. The regime’s consistent reply has been gunfire, nooses, and fresh waves of fear.
With the talks now broken down, I’m writing this from inside Iran with mixed emotions of anxiety, hope and grief. Whatever unfolds from here, most Iranians will feel a sense of release. No price is too steep to get rid of this evil regime and the price of letting this nightmare drag on is far greater, and for many of us, even dying feels better than one more day under these monsters.
This reflects the authentic voice of the majority of Iranians — a people who frequently lack internet access, global reach, or any platform to speak.
When we lose internet access, the Iranian diaspora becomes our voice abroad. While the ceasefire talks dragged on, they took to the streets in protest, clearly showing the world that we reject any negotiation with this regime and want Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi to represent the Iranian people — because no one inside this regime ever can
As I have said before, the world will soon see why we declare:
Anything for freedom. Anything to destroy this evil.

Meh I mean I don’t think anyone expected there to be a deal to be made after this first meeting. This was the posturing phase. Both sides believe they’re in the position of power. Neither wanting to make concessions yet.
They’ll do either one or two more meetings. One more during the ceasefire and if no deal is reached but they get closer, the ceasefire will extend and they’ll hammer out a deal in the summer months.
If the second meeting is much like the first one, then they’ll resume attacks for another month or two and after more pressure from the outside, more destruction, Iran will fold. Getting attacked again weakens their position significantly so they’re going to want to extend the ceasefire under the guise of “working out a deal”
