By that logic, every evangelical is an end-times fanatic trying to speed-run Revelation. Obviously that’s stupid. Religious traditions have factions, ranges of belief, and lots of normal people inside them. Iran is no different.

Since the IRGC is a named terrorist group there are previous authorizations. Obama used them for Libya and we have had "boots on the ground" in Syria for 15 years without any War Powers authorizations. The Democrats and msm will scream, but that will happen regardless. Funding will get through somehow.
