Cool, but this doesn’t explain… who pays the fees?
The shipping company.
This is not what was being discussed. The original post:
“People need to pay attention to what the ten point plan doesn’t say. There’s no mention of keeping nukes or funding/protecting their “partners” in the region. On its face this isn’t that far off from the Venezuela deal if you look at it. For example, they collect fees that will be used to rebuild. It doesn’t say where those fees will be held.”
Rebuild isn’t about opening the straight or fees to do so, it's rebuilding the schitt we bombed. So I’ll ask again, who pays here?

It was posted earlier that the "10 point plan" posted last night was fake news. Trump called CNN out for posting it and it may go to court.

BREAKING: Saudi Arabia’s East-West oil pipeline carrying 7 million barrels per day of crude oil from the Gulf to the Red Sea has been attacked, per FT.
Details include:
1. The pipeline was reportedly struck by a drone and damage is being assessed
2. The attack on vital infrastructure comes hours after Iran and the US agreed a ceasefire deal on Tuesday evening
3. Prior to the ceasefire deal, Iran threatened to target the east-west pipeline if the US struck Iranian power plants
Oil prices are still trading lower, down -18% today.

This seems to be a rather active ceasefire to this point.

That was about the ridiculous "statement" from Iran immediately following the ceasefire announcement.

They may have said that, but for the last 5 weeks the US and Israel have been bombing their nuclear facilities into rubble. To paraphrase Ron White, "They had the right to enrich, but they did not have the ability."

For sharing news on the Iran war, in the Iran war thread?
Get lost, queer.

Many here do not play chess very well. We are sending more ships to the region. It will be a long time before those ships leave again. We will be building our presence in the ME with Iran's neighbors. We are more of a watchdog in the ME than we have been in a very long time.
Meanwhile, we determined NATO is worthless and who our actual allies are. You will see a shift eastward in Europe to those who want our help. Also, many of the troops in Western Europe will be redeployed where needed. Watch the ongoing build up in the Pacific, which is by far the largest priority for the US right now.

Lebanon is going to be an issue. There have been reports that it — and the Israeli operations against Hezbollah there — is excluded from the ceasefire agreement. Iran seems to question that.

So how is it going this morning? I am too lazy today to look stuff up and for my own opinion. So I hereby humble ask the experts of this board should I be optimistic or have a massive meltdown because TACO?

And Iran has now called for the closure of the straight in response to the heavy Israeli strikes in Lebanon.
Posted on 4/8/26 at 8:58 am to ColoradoAg
That's great, but what does that do to help the Iranian people?
