We murdered their pope and his family in a sneak attack
We tomahawked a girls school killing 170 innocents.
The above two incidents squashed any hope of a populist uprising and allowed the ruling party to grasp power more firmly than in years.
They now control the Straight of Hormuz in unprecedented fashion. They have tactical advantages in that their country is a fortress that has never been conquered.
Modern drone warfare levels the playing field dramatically. They are fighting an existential religious battle. Our leaders cant even clearly or consistently articulate why we are there.

Delusion. Iran is in a much stronger position today than a month ago. We are in a much weaker position. Nothing we do over the next 3 weeks is likely to change that no matter what you bloodthirsty neocons think.
This is an incredibly stupid take.

"Now in our 5th week of the campaign, it is my operational assessment that we are making undeniable progress. We don't see their navy sailing. We don't see their aircraft flying, and their air and missile defense systems have largely been destroyed." - Adm. Brad Cooper, CENTCOM Commander

A significant number of high-profile IRGC figures have been killed in airstrikes over the past 48 hours.
Those eliminated held key operational, engineering, intelligence, and command roles, dealing a serious blow to the Islamic Republic’s chain of command and battlefield coordination:
?? Mohammad Sadeghi — Head of Engineering at Al-Ghadir Headquarters, overseeing missile site construction and tunnel infrastructure tied to Iran’s ballistic missile program
?? Yahya al-Darir — Commander of a pro-Iranian Syrian militia in Aleppo; killed in Qom along with his wife and three sons after relocating to Iran following Assad’s fall
?? Hassan Mahdi — IRGC member killed alongside his family in the same wave of strikes in Qom
?? Colonel Ali Kuhkhil — IRGC commander linked to an alleged nuclear-related site at the Barkat Industries Complex in Alborz Province
?? Reza Oradi — IRGC commander in the Sepah Ansar al-Reza division; killed in strikes near Birjand
?? Ali Montazeri — Former IRIB executive and Intelligence Ministry employee; killed in a strike in northeastern Tehran
?? Mohsen Najafi — Head of Inspections for the IRGC General Command; killed in early strikes targeting top leadership, later identified via DNA
?? Hassan Mohammadi — Senior advisor to the Supreme National Security Council; also killed in the opening phase of the war, identity confirmed through DNA
?? Seyyed Ali Tavasoli — IRGC Aerospace Forces officer involved in air defense systems
This wave of strikes appears to be systematically targeting leadership, degrading operational capability, and disrupting the regime’s military and intelligence infrastructure

Tactically and operationally, Iran is weakened significantly and will continue to be weakened. Our strikes have been devastating.
Strategically? He’s not wrong.
Iran has the strait shut down and has put a wedge between Israel/USA and Europe. They’ve exhausted our interceptor stocks, took out critical strategic level equipment like E-3s and THAAD radar sets. Iran has made us question the positioning and design of bases in the Middle East now. They’ve completely shocked the markets. They’ve made such a mess that the UN is going to have to coordinate a mission to reopen the strait.
There isn’t a single area I can point to where I can say the U.S. is in a stronger position strategically than we were a month ago.

I don't understand why people cannot understand that Iran had nuke bomb they would use it. It is their stated mission. Even the Democrats prior to Trump said this al be it they sat on their hands. The regime needs to be eliminated.

Im trying to salvage the conservative populist movement that we were all a part of 6 years ago and 6 months ago. The conservative populist movement that has been hijacked by neocons and by Trump's betrayal of his principles. I havent changed - Trump changed. I havent changed - Cajunangelle and 65% of this board changed.
Okay, so trying to be persuasive. Just some friendly advice, do with it what you will; incessant melting and emotional outbursts make one less persuasive, not more. The more you melt emotionally, the more people check out on you. Even folks who have agreed with you have essentially told you to give it a rest, it’s getting ridiculous.

You don't know the difference in tactically and strategically do you?

Iran has largely acted rationally though. There’s nothing to suggest they’d be willing to kill their entire populace (guaranteed in a retaliation strike) by using a nuclear weapon.

If it's a question of terms then idk how you can say the war is won. What if we only get 1 or 2 of the terms that made us start this thing? Did we still win?

That's a strategic advantage not a tactical one.

Really? Their Navy and Air Force is decimated. We have destroyed their manufacturing capabilities to make new drones and missiles. We own the sky.
We are holding an axe over the neck of their entire oil/gas/electrical infrastructure with the legitimate threat of knocking it all off the map if they don't toe the line.
The Straight of Hormuz WILL be open and free very soon because Iran can't sustain their current posture on it.
You sound like a complete idiot with your take. You should post less...
