I’m assuming some radical leftist MSM reported Ford getting hit.
For those having never served, carriers have fires just about every day. And every sailor is a firefighter. I could tell you about a fire in carrier rag room while doing fuel unrep and smoke billowing out of hanger bay doors and us doing an emergency breakaway. Its a city of 5,000 crammed into 1,100 feet.
On March 12, USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78) experienced a fire that originated in the ship’s main laundry spaces. The cause of the fire was not combat-related and is contained.
There is no damage to the ship’s propulsion plant, and the aircraft carrier remains fully operational.
Two Sailors are currently receiving medical treatment for non-life-threatening injuries and are in stable condition. Additional information will be provided when available.
The Gerald R. Ford Carrier Strike Group is currently operating in the Red Sea in support of Operation Epic Fury.

Two diplomats of the Islamic Republic in Denmark and Australia have applied for asylum, informed sources told Iran International.
Alireza Sohbati, a diplomat at the Iranian embassy in Copenhagen, and Mohammad Pournajaf, a diplomat at the Iranian embassy in Canberra, have submitted asylum requests.
Pournajaf had previously served as the chargé d'affaires of the Islamic Republic’s embassy in Australia.
In recent months, amid escalating political and social developments linked to the Iranian national uprising, other cases of Islamic Republic diplomats abandoning their posts and seeking asylum had been reported.
Iran International had previously reported that Alireza Jeyrani Hakamabad, a senior diplomat at the Iranian mission to the UN Office in Geneva, had left his workplace and applied for asylum in Switzerland.
Similarly, Gholamreza Derikvand, the chargé d'affaires of the Islamic Republic’s embassy in Austria, applied for asylum in Switzerland after leaving his post.
