He keeps saying their navy is gone, which it is, but they're still able to attack ships, so no one is going through.
Especially after seeing what just happened to the three cargo ships. Why would anyone go through.

Your take on these events belongs on the ash heap of history.
Trump in this one action alone:
Along with Venezuela, has placed a stranglehold on China's energy supply .
Has shown our"allies" that the positions they held prior to Trumps action were not tenable because it placed them at the mercy of a strengthening Iran.
Has shown the world that even though Trump set their nuclear program back, the evil Iranian regime was never going give up the idea of having nuclear weapons.
Has shown the world the Iranian regime is willing to use, war crime worthy, cluster munitions.
And Trump has probably brought Putin back to the re-engagement stage of settling the Ukraine conflict after seeing a few days of our countries military prowess when wielded by an actual leader and not a leftist pansy who happened to occupy the white house.

I think the goal is to break the regime, not break the entire country and turn its population into refugees. If the war ended this afternoon and the regime was permanently destroyed, we still want to hand the citizens running water and power and oil infrastructure.
