A first-hand account from an Iranian inside Iran after reconnecting to the internet following six days of blackout.
“Since last night, Tehran and Karaj have been under heavy fire and smoke. Oil depots were hit. Today the attacks were also intense and the number of “cutlets” (dead IRGC) across the country is high. Province by province, city by city, and village by village they are hunting Basij members, IRGC forces, and special units.
But unfortunately the public’s insatiable desire to watch how these terrorists are being turned into “cutlets” has caused many people to ignore the guidelines and repeated requests from CENTCOM to stay at home. This has made things harder for our brothers in the IDF and CENTCOM. I hope people observe this more carefully.
As I said before, if anything happens to me or my family I hold no grievance against the United States or Israel. The only cause would be the Islamic Republic and the group of 1979 revolutionaries. This is what war is. At least in these eight days it has proven that war, with all its bombs, missiles, damage and fear, is still less harmful and dangerous for Iran and Iranians than the Islamic Republic itself.
Friends, I don’t know when I will be able to reconnect again if I get cut off once more. But I want to say this: the Islamic Republic is trying with all its strength to drag the war into people’s homes. In the coming days they may deliberately target schools, hospitals, and strategic sites such as power plants and water and energy facilities in order to provoke Israel and the United States into retaliation. In their effort to preserve this demonic system they have no red lines.
One last point. I was happy when I reconnected and saw that this space had been cleaned of the regime’s thugs and troublemakers. I also want to give special thanks to the two people who worked hard to do that.

We need to get the strait open. Put a bunch of destroyers in there to defend the tankers going through. Maybe even put some troops on the Iranian side of the strait to deny the enemy a location to set up and fire anti-ship missiles.

Logic says yes. And it will be right up until those that own the oil in those tankers realize that the one that did go through is well on its way to market with that load of inflated priced crude…
While their oil is sitting there waiting for the price to return to normal.

Shipping has been greatly reduced. But a tanker recently went through and with each passing day it will get safer and the passages should begin increasing.
