It should be said: There are many contradictions regarding reports on the Kurdish issue, but what I can confidently understand.
There is an entry of at least hundreds of Iranian Kurds who fled back to Iranian territory. And the beginning of organization and readiness in preparation for an attack.
Has an active attack begun? Not certain at all.

I worked in oil and gas. I’ve seen pirates, been harassed by hostile warships, witnessed epic natural disasters. Three times I was in nations so dangerous the embassy evacuated non-essential personnel.
For decades the primary response of the US Embassy was: what do you want us to do about it?
This wasn’t always the case.
As ship captains, we are still taught the vast power that the State Department holds. Not just their own, but the authority to deputize ship captains and airline pilots to serve as mini embassies abroad.
I had enormous legal power as a ship captain to help but never used it because my company knew they’d get zero backing from State.
This is what America did until our embassies got too busy funding NGOs to bother helping American citizens.
I can’t tell you how excited I am to finally have an embassy you can actually call for help.
