All those new Chinese defense systems Iran recently received are doing a bang up job aren't they? Another failure by Temu early warning radar and tracking systems.

That backbench, TDS-riddled, sad failure of a Congressman wouldn't have an effing clue what "Congress authorized." Because no one in the Congressional leadership will say a word to him. He is anathema.
Trump met with the "Gang of Eight" just before the SOTU. It was a widely reported meeting. WTF does Masshole think they talked about? The weather? As Carville put it, Massie doesn't know whether to scratch his watch or wind his arse.
War Powers Act says Congress, that means all of Congress since it is all of Congress that was delegated war powers by the Constitution. There were no carve outs in the WPA for certain segments of Congress. I really don't understand why you're so angry.

I was wondering about that. Curious if they are holding them under ground, waiting for early warning (from somewhere) that planes are inbound, wanting to go after the planes and not the missiles. Or, maybe they're junk.

I’m sure they’re junk compared to what they claim to be able to achieve, but I’d also imagine China isn’t giving Iran anything special. They’ll get a shittier export version of a shitty weapon.

Either China's stuff can't really detect our stealth technology or they are a really shitty partner and supplied equipment they absolutely knew was bullshite after getting paid. I wouldn't put it past them to do that. The same systems failed in Venezuela.

Now that bombs are dropping, why is this relevant? The man has a little over 2 years left in his political career. His life legacy is already written. You think he gives a frick about approvals ratings?

Did that happen last year?

So you are saying that Ilhan Omar should have been advised ahead of time? How do you think that would have played out? I'm cool with some blurry lines as far as who can do what as long as it keeps our American service members as safe as possible.

Not sure of the significance of Bahrain
Saudi, UAE, etc forbade US attacks on Iran from bases within their territories UNLESS Iran attacks on those countries occurred first. Iran took the bait and attacked. US will now be able to launch from those bases as well if we choose to.

No US Navy casualties in Bahrain as a result of the Iranian missile strike.

Why are yall assuming Iran military is even trained enough to be competent to use them even if they are highly capable systems from China?

I hope Ice rounded up all the Iranian sympathizers before this all went down. It would really suck if Sleeper cells just started waking up. No bueno.

I realize you can’t put your entire government underground, but I’m shocked anyone at the top of the Iranian government was above ground, especially with all the signs pointing to strikes happening tonight.
