Anyone getting too caught up in the daily tit for tat is self reporting their own stupidity.

Ignore the noise and talking. It isn’t meant for you.

If we had given them suicide drones, the protestors would know who to hit and where to hit them.

Your “link” was a news story from two months ago (which you said was last week) about oil sanctions being removed which has no bearing on the current blockade which is what is currently occurring.

Please refrain from clogging this thread up with petty squabbles if you are going to be disingenuous.

I would also add some of you don’t understand Trump’s style of negotiations or negotiations in general for that matter.

Apparently no one does because it isn’t working.

I don't think he wants to do that.

The World Cup begins here in 10 days, followed by the 250th Independence Day celebration is little more than a month.

My guess is he is willing to maintain the status quo until all that is over.

I seriously don't think we'll see any more meaningful military activity until after July 4th, and probably not until after the World Cup is over on July 19th, if at all.

Unless Trump just decides to walk away, you can expect the stalemate we see now to continue well into the future and oil to remain above $85-90 for awhile.

During this ceasefire, if the CIA has not been sneaking in arms then Ratfliffe and his advisors need to be hung by their balls from the Washington Memorial.

Literally, a wire around their balls and hung.

If there are no arms being shipped in WTF have they been doing all this time?

Its modern day propaganda.

Go look at his page, Catturds, Gunthers, Bennys. Every truth social is "EPIC" or a "BOMBSHELL" or "HILLARIOUS" .

These dudes are getting paid by the admin to boost out these messages and make them all sound like revelations, or huge wins. Or if they are tweeting about democrats its the most vile thing ever.

Then bots fill up the replies.

This is just the line given to make Trump seem like he is winning when he reverses course. Replace Trump with Biden and this place would be losing their minds over how this has all been handled. They would say the middle east is playing him and he isn't in control.

But since it's Trump its always 4D chess.

How dare the Republicans start doing with Social Media what Democrats have been doing for decades with the MSM and Social Media.

Seems pretty accurate. The last sentence seems spot on, anyway.

I’ve been fairly consistent with my support for Trump.

I also thought this “war” has been handled badly (communication and negotiations) and the tariff crap was confusing.

Some of us are willing to call balls and strikes as honestly as we can.

I still think Trump made a two fold mistake with Iran:

1. Not prosecuting the case via TV directly to the American people.

2. Not allowing military personnel to participate in and lead negotiations on behalf of the US. I think the message sending would have a different tone. I think the way Trump has communicated during this process has been foolish.

This is how all politics exist in this country for the last 10 years or so on both sides. I call it gang politics. Nothing really matters other than the colors you're wearing. People will bend over backwards and refute logic in favor of supporting the gang. If you're not all the way in and align on just about ever issue, well you're kicked out of the gang.
It's an unfortunate devolutionary development, I believe mostly brought on by social media and echo chambers running the show. It also makes it almost impossible to find the real truth in anything, because there's experts in both gangs that will directly contradict each other. Makes it more important than ever, to not just follow your gang and use 1st principles to make decisions!

Not responding to you, but the idea. The movie “Red Dawn” was just that…a movie. It is illogical to launch a preemptive war and expect the population to finish the job.

Though I thoroughly support the war, I stated this in the first pages of this topic. I knew that a countries population usually did not support a foreign entity coming in, no matter how vile they were.
