Something tells me this "manager's" refusal of service is not in line with corporate policy.
Also... I could well ackshually up dozens of examples where the right to refuse service is limited either legally or social backlash style.

typically businesses reserve the right to refuse service to the manager on duty. They do not empower every bum behind the counter with the with that authority. Why? Because they don't want the headache of some idiot hourly employee creating national news and costing them millions of dollars. They'll fire those responsible, issue an apology and be up for an 8am tee time tomorrow morning
