That’s not a problem regarding the separation of powers at all.

Congress can now send a subpoena for dick picks of future presidents and if he refuses they can impeach him?

frick these retards.

Obstruction of congress is not in the constitution as an impeachable offense, it’s not even a real crime. Neither is Abuse of power. It’s extremely desperate, and it shows. At least for those willing to pay attention. But this goes to the greater point in all of this; that just because you have a majority of seats in a legislative chamber, does not mean that you run the country or get to hold the country hostage for your political grievances.

Setting the precedent for EVERY future president to be impeached when they invoke Executive Privilege.

The little would-be demigods don't like it when you don't kiss their asses.

"contempt of congress"? Frankly that's not nearly a strong enough word for how I feel about them

So does that mean that there should be an “obstruction of the executive branch” too? Cause we got that by the metric shite ton...

Two things: The president doesn't work for congress. And the founders took great pains to keep any branch from being subjected to political pressure from one or both of the other two. Thereby preserving the unique powers of that entity. The president was within his powers to not respond to the House fishing expeditions. As well as deny access to his close aides. Same as Obama did repeatedly. Where was the House then with impeachment.

This is a weak attempt to (A) Politically damage the president who, as the dems know, has committed no "high crime or misdemeanor" (B) Satisfy the dems street mob who want the president's head. They, the dem pols and the media have carried this mob too far too turn back now.

No. And history, precedent and stare decisis are all clear... each branch has privilege from the other in conducting their given roles.

Each branch has separate powers. But not oversight except where enumerated. (For example judicial appointments).

The HofR can't tell the President what to do anymore than the President can fire congress men or pass legislation.

Because it would work both ways. Would you want the executive branch empowered to impeach congress members for obstructing the President's agenda? "Resist" would be an impeachable offense.

Sound like something you want? With Trump (or anyone else) in office?

One of core responsibilities of the Executive Branch of the Federal Government is to serve as an obstruction to the Legislative and Judicial branches.

So not only is it not a crime, it is not impeachable and it doesn't actually exist. That's right, it isn't even a real thing, it is two words put together one after the other. Nothing at all.

Trump's presidency has been Caddyshack. He is Al Czervik, Schiff & Pelosi are Judge & Mrs Smails and Czervik doesn't belong at Bushwood.

This impeachment is "double or nothing he makes it" and we're all gonna get laid.

Anything is impeachable if you are retarded enough.

Convictable and removable?

That's something else.

Both charges are non criminal and completely subjective to which side of the aisle you sit. Democrats are opening up a massive can of worms as far as precedence going forward. frick the will of the American citizens, if WE don’t like you we’ll still try to throw you out
