Pardoning war criminals makes sure the entire world knows that Americans are on the same level as the Taliban. It also sends the clear message to enemy combatants that if they may be captured, they must fight to the death and kill as many Americans as possible because they will be killed anyway.
This is your lowest energy post ever.

ongrats on celebrating the release of men who murdered innocent people. Good to know we don’t hold ourselves to a higher standard. Good God this is pathetic.
There’s a big bronze fricking statue in the middle of NYC of William T Sherman. He killed innocent AMERICAN women and children and he’s celebrated.

He can get pardoned, but that SEAL was a piece of shite that brought shame to our country. We are supposed to be better than the enemies we fight.

I'm not opposed to presidential pardons, but why not let the trial occur before issueing a pardon? It just seems premature being that it has not yet been adjudicated.

Because if you’re referring to William Tecumseh Sherman you should just quietly leave this discussion.
frick yeah I edited and fixed it. Brain farts happen. My bad.
Piss on Sherman. That a-hole is a war criminal and if he pulled the same shite today he pulled in the civil war as a general in our 2019 US military, he would be court martialed so fast heads would spin.

behind curtain number 1, we have Jug Ears, pardoning folks that committed treason
and curtain 2? MAGA, preventing patriotic Americans accused of causing damage to actual terrorists
I know where my heart is on this...

The biggest problem with this is pardoning Nicholas Slatten, the Blackwater guard that instigated the Nisour Square massacre. Slatten straight-up murdered people and was not part of the military.
Slatten is a POS and has been found guilty of murder twice.

What did he do that we didn’t do in World War I, World War II, Korea, or Vietnam? Curtis LeMay laughs at Sherman’s “crimes.”

The Japanese had that same mentality. Quarter was neither asked for nor given in the Pacific Theater. And guess what? The Japanese got effed up so bad they remain pacifists to this very day.
